The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Matrix looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Matrix lands a jab to Stevenson's midsection. Stevenson misses with a hook. Matrix ducked under it nicely. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Matrix, right into the meat.
Matrix scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Matrix throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jan Den Knieschijf is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Horrible takedown by Den Knieschijf or perhaps it was just good defense by Bonnot which made him look bad. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Den Knieschijf takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Den Knieschijf tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bonnot swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jules Bonnot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
