The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tor avoids the head kick by Gonzales.
Gonzales tries to bum rush Tor with a series of wild strikes but Tor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzales tries to avoid it but Tor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzales to the ground. Gonzales escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gonzales tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tor forces Gonzales back against the cage and clinches.
Gonzales wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Gonzales wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Tor on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Tor keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gonzales's efforts to push away.
Tor is trying to trip Gonzales. He has hold of a leg but Gonzales is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tor persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gonzales is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tor is controlling him.

In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
