22 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack The Ripper! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Ripper shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sierra as he jumps to the side. Sierra throws an uppercut from half a mile away. The Ripper sees it coming and avoids it easily. Erick Sierra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Sierra. The Ripper steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sierra. Sierra throws a head kick but The Ripper moves out of range.
The Ripper throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sierra. The Ripper is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sierra sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sierra throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The Ripper fails with a takedown attempt. Erick Sierra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack The Ripper. The Ripper blocks a head kick by Sierra.
Sierra feints and then cracks The Ripper's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow The Ripper down. Sierra fails to land with a series of punches.
Sierra throws a sloppy head kick and The Ripper moves out of range easily. The Ripper uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sierra.

The Ripper misses with an uppercut. Sierra stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sierra wants it to stay on the feet. Sierra loads up on a big right hand but The Ripper slips the punch. Sierra is looking to score with low kicks. Sierra scores with a jab to the jaw. Sierra is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Sierra pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sierra rushes The Ripper with punches - The Ripper moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, The Ripper goes down! Sierra follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Papp lands a head shot. Te Huna throws a jab when Papp was well out of range. Te Huna throws a poor cross that misses
and Papp counters with an outside leg kick.
Te Huna will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Papp on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Papp throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Papp scores with the left hand. Te Huna knows he should have avoided that one. Papp staying out of range there. Te Huna takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Papp stalks Te Huna and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Te Huna's face. Te Huna staggers backwards, shaken. Papp gets a clinch. Te Huna is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Papp is defending well. Te Huna looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Te Huna. That's going to take a lot out of him. Papp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Papp thumps Te Huna with a low kick. Te Huna shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Papp as he avoids it easily. Papp has Te Huna up against the ropes in a clinch.
Papp lands a hook that snaps the head of Te Huna backwards.
Te Huna is rocked! Papp tightens his grip and picks Te Huna up, before dumping him to the ground. Te Huna manages to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Papp is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Papp throws a big right hand that misses. Papp stopping the sweep attempt from Te Huna. Papp is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Papp uses his free foot to push down on Te Huna's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Te Huna. Papp raining down hammerfists from mount. Te Huna wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Papp.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Te Huna can't escape the position.
Papp sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Papp controlling the position easily from mount. Papp is in the full mount, landing strikes. Oh Te Huna is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Papp postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Te Huna in real trouble here! The ref calls for Te Huna to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

It looks like Antonio Rogerio Nogueria has been cut. Boyka jabs Nogueria to the body, keeping him at a distance. Nogueria tries to clinch and Nogueria takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nogueria misses with a head kick.
Boyka moves into range and connects with a jab. Nogueria fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boyka manages to avoid it. Boyka cracks Nogueria with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Boyka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Boyka fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nogueria looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nogueria has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Yuri Boyka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Boyka. Those never looked like landing. Nogueria tries to clinch but Boyka moves away and Boyka counters with a lovely shot to the body. Boyka defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nogueria. Nogueria on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Boyka scores with a nice right hand.
Nogueria gets tackled into the ropes by Boyka. Boyka maintains the clinch. Nogueria tries a knee to the head but Boyka blocks it.
Nogueria should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Nogueria trying to stall but Boyka improves his position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. That sent Arebola stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Arebola throws a series of punches but Volkov moves out of range. Volkov throws a shot from downtown. and Volkov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Volkov fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Volkov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Arebola avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nice defenses there by Arebola. Volkov looks to land a left hand but Arebola moved out of range nicely.

Volkov throws out a loose jab but Arebola uses good head movement to avoid it. Arebola loads up on a big right hand but Volkov slips the punch. Volkov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Arebola displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Volkov throws out the jab. Volkov throws the left hand but Arebola avoids the punch easily. Jab from Volkov. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Arebola throws a lazy right hand but Volkov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Volkov lands a lovely overhand right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Volkov dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Volkov tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Arebola is able to avoid easily. Arebola cracks Volkov with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Volkov looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Arebola finish him?

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nelson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Roy Nelson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mark Hunt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown. Hunt tries to sprawl out of it but Nelson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Hunt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Jason Bashor has been cut. Palander tries to clinch but Bashor is having none of it. Palander uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bashor has time to react. The fight stays on the outside here - Palander looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bashor takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
