The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lambert misses with a wild combination.
Yagami comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Yagami bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lambert's head.
Yagami misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lambert.
Lambert steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yagami.
Lambert takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Lambert shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Yagami manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Lambert got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yagami has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lambert has managed to get both his arms back between Yagami's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lambert is posturing up here but Yagami has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Lambert tries to roll out but it's too tight and Lambert has to tap! Slick submission there by Yagami!
