Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Ronald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Captain Foolio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Ronald had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Chris Ronald has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronald fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Foolio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ronald tries to clinch
and Foolio counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ronald's knee momentarily.
Ronald tries for a takedown but Foolio sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Foolio darts in and clinches Ronald up against the cage.

Foolio shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ronald's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ronald is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Foolio defends well.

Foolio wants to get up but he can't break Ronald's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

and De La Hoya counters with a head kick that drops Boans to the mat! Boans scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

De La Hoya and Boans are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. De La Hoya throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Boans into next week! Ooooh that was huge! De La Hoya knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Magnus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jecht. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
