The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johansson gets off balance looking for a body kick and Romanchenko counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Romanchenko. Romanchenko creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. A battle for position here, against the cage. Romanchenko throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Johansson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Johansson with a nice cross. Johansson throws a poor cross that misses
and Romanchenko counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Johansson is trying to break the clinch but Romanchenko has him pressed against the cage. Romanchenko misses with a short punch on the inside. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Romanchenko takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Johansson throws a sloppy head kick and Romanchenko moves out of range easily. Johansson staying out of range there. Johansson swats away the attempt to clinch by Romanchenko. Romanchenko ducks under a wild hook from Johansson. Romanchenko fails in his attempt to clinch. Mykhaylo Romanchenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Johansson. Romanchenko darts in trying to clinch and Johansson counters with a right hand to the body. Johansson misses with a wild body shot. Romanchenko tries to clinch up and Johansson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fight stays on the outside here - Romanchenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Johansson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Johansson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That was a close round but I would say that Jackob Johansson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jackob Johansson's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Johansson keeps the fight on the outside. Romanchenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Johansson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Johansson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Romanchenko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johansson. Romanchenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johansson swats him away and circles back towards the center. A low kick from Johansson is predictable there and Romanchenko counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Romanchenko is looking to clinch but Johansson is avoiding it.

Romanchenko closes the distance but Johansson moves to the side enabling Johansson to counter with a crisp jab. Romanchenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Johansson finish him?

Romanchenko seems to have recovered his senses. Romanchenko keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Johansson. Romanchenko darts in trying to clinch and Johansson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Romanchenko thinking. Johansson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Romanchenko throws out the jab. Johansson lands with a good body shot. Romanchenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johansson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Romanchenko moves in looking to clinch but Johansson pushes him off. Romanchenko tries to clinch but Johansson moves away enabling Johansson to counter with a crisp jab. Romanchenko doesn't manage to clinch there - Johansson circles away.

The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mortensen doesn't manage to clinch there - Olszewicz circles away.
Mortensen closes the distance but Olszewicz moves to the side and Olszewicz counters with a single leg into guard. Mortensen didn't expect that. Olszewicz stays in close to Mortensen's body and controls the position. Mortensen is looking to stand up but Olszewicz isn't so interested in that idea. Olszewicz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Olszewicz chips away with some ground and pound. Mortensen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Olszewicz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mortensen has momentary wrist control but Olszewicz slips an elbow through the middle. Mortensen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Olszewicz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mortensen wants to stand but Olszewicz is controlling the position. Olszewicz content to stall in guard here. Mortensen trying to control the position.
Olszewicz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Olszewicz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Olszewicz is looking to work some ground and pound but Mortensen has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Olszewicz stops Mortensen from standing up. Olszewicz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Olszewicz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mortensen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Olszewicz swats away the attempt to clinch by Mortensen. The fight stays on the outside here - Mortensen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mortensen throws a series of punches but Olszewicz moves out of range. Mortensen darts in trying to clinch and Olszewicz counters with a single leg into guard. Mortensen didn't expect that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Olszewicz trying to control but Mortensen is working from the bottom. Olszewicz passes into half guard. Olszewicz passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mortensen! Mortensen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Olszewicz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Olszewicz lands a big elbow. Mortensen is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Olszewicz throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mortensen because Olszewicz loaded up on that one. Olszewicz cracks Mortensen with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Olszewicz seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Mortensen is holding on tight.
Mortensen tries to lock up and control but Olszewicz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Olszewicz looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Olszewicz lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
This has been an exciting period of action! Olszewicz thowing shots but they're missing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Olszewicz goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mortensen turns into him and now he's in Olszewicz's guard.
Mortensen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Olszewicz swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mortensen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Olszewicz paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mortensen fails in his attempt to clinch. Olszewicz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mortensen wants to clinch and Olszewicz counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Olszewicz working over Mortensen with some ground and pound. Mortensen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olszewicz seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Mortensen is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Hero scores with a punch to the head. Perch waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hero. A looping hook to the body misses from Hero. Perch does a little dance to reset his feet. Hero motions for Perch to come forward. Hero throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hero scores with a sloppy right hand. Perch should have avoided that one. Hero keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hero misses with a looping left. Hero fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Perch. This has been an exciting period of action! Hero misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Perch misses with a low kick. Perch shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Hero cracks a nice hook into Perch's ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hero feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Perch crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Ik throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ik stands up over Nix, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nix keeping moving, preventing Ik from controlling successfully. Ik chips away with some ground and pound. Ik connects with a couple of short punches. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ik chips away with some ground and pound.

Gillmore clinches up with Silver and pushes him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gillmore misses with a knee to the head. Silver's coach down at Qube Striking was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Silver's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Silver blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Vanaja wants to control but Boy is having none of it. Boy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Vanaja tries to reverse the position but Boy maintains control. Vanaja bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
