The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaffer lands a jab. Jurgel thows a body shot but no joy. James Jaffer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaffer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jurgel sprawls well initially but Jaffer persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jurgel trying to control here.
Jaffer slows the pace down in half guard. Jaffer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Jaffer is looking to take a break and control but Jurgel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jurgel tries to roll over but Jaffer keeps him under control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zewski works over Penn's head and body with a nice combination. Zewski slips a straight right by Penn. Penn misses the shot to the body. Zewski throws a right and a left that Penn avoids nicely. Penn misses with a wild body shot. Zewski drives through with a takedown into Penn's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Penn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Zewski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Penn is trying to keep Zewski in close.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davis lands with a nice body punch. Pike looks winded! Davis tries to bum rush Pike with a series of wild strikes but Pike uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Davis fails to land with a series of punches.
Davis throws a good cross that connects.
Pike misses with the combination.

Nice defenses there by Pike. Pike takes one on the button. This has been an exciting period of action! Pike dodges the punch combination from Davis.

Davis tries to bum rush Pike with a series of wild strikes but Pike uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Davis throws a push kick but Pike slaps the foot to one side.

Davis works the jab nicely. Pike feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Daviss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Sloppy strikes from Davis. Those never looked like landing. Davis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Davis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davis lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pike ducks under a wild hook from Davis. Davis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A telegraphed right hand from Pike misses the target. Davis drops Pike with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pike looks back up at him and smiles so Davis waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Pike is rocked! Davis throws a shot to the body.
Pike is still on wobbly legs! Can Davis finish him? Davis throws an uppercut from hell that sends Pike clean off his feet! He's out cold! Davis stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weber throws a leg kick but Perry moved away. Perry has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Perry throws a head kick that misses. Weber misses the jab. Weber misses with a leg kick. Weber thuds his right hand into Perry's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Weber keeps the fight on the outside. Weber cracks Perry with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Weber thumps Perry with a low kick. Perry slips a jab and a cross from Weber.
Perry scores with a one two! Weber had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Jens Weber has been cut. Weber misses with a few strikes there.

Perry closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Weber throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Jens Weber is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Good standup being displayed there by Weber as he connects with a hook. Weber comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Perry takes a shot to the body in his stride.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sheehan Jr connects with a single shot there. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dux has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Dux connects with a body shot. Dux on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Sheehan Jr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

It looks like Justus Sheehan Jr has been cut. Sheehan Jr walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Sheehan Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dux circles away quickly and effectively. Redfield misses with a looping left. We've been hearing reports that Daedalus has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Redfield fails to land with a series of punches.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Daedalus postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
