0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Watt! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Von Schwaben looks for a takedown but Watt sprawls well. Nice takedown defense from Watt. No joy for Von Schwaben on that attempt. Watt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonathan Von Schwaben. That's going to take a lot out of him. Watt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Von Schwaben napping and manages to drive through into side control! Von Schwaben gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Watt trying to control from Von Schwaben's half guard. Von Schwaben has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Watt wants to control from the top but Von Schwaben keeps moving. Michael Watt has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Von Schwaben closes the distance and clinches. Von Schwaben ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Von Schwaben no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Watt manages to get himself to full guard.
Von Schwaben controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Von Schwaben throwing strikes but missing. Watt wants to get back to his feet but Von Schwaben is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Von Schwaben passes Watt's left leg - he's now in half guard. Von Schwaben prevents Watt from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben decides to stand up. Watt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Von Schwaben struggling a bit here. Watt wants to stand but Von Schwaben has his arm trapped. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. More blood and guts and stuff like that, in cinemas everywhere now! Von Schwaben sneaks out the side door and pushes Watt away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben moves out of range as Watt strikes. Von Schwaben looks for a takedown but Watt sprawls well. Watt gets a clinch. Von Schwaben jumps guard and drags Watt to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Von Schwaben is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Watt presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Watt looking to slow down the pace here. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Von Schwaben. Watt manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Von Schwaben decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Watt slaps away a takedown attempt from Von Schwaben, before circling back to the center of the mat. Watt shoots in and bounces Von Schwaben off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jonathan Von Schwaben will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

We've been informed that Watt has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Watt has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Von Schwaben is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Watt. Von Schwaben controls the position. Von Schwaben thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Von Schwaben gets to mount! Watt was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Von Schwaben is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Watt is in real trouble.
Von Schwaben has good solid back control here. Von Schwaben not allowing Watt to control his hands. Von Schwaben thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Von Schwaben is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Von Schwaben has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Watt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Von Schwaben throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Von Schwaben escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Watt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Watt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Von Schwaben manages to avoid it. Jonathan Von Schwaben is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Watt shoots in and bounces Von Schwaben off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Watt wants to stand and escape but instead Von Schwaben has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Von Schwaben stays in close to Watt's body and controls the position.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jonathan Von Schwaben. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Von Schwaben, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Turaff uses from the top position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bertelsen keeping moving, preventing Turaff from controlling successfully. Bertelsen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Turaff is looking to clinch but Bertelsen is avoiding it.
A punch lands to the side of Bertelsen 's head but he takes it in his stride. Turaff fails in his attempt to clinch. Bertelsen tries to close the distance and clinch but Turaff swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Turaff is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Turaff's coach down at **CENTRUM GYM** was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Turaff's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Bertelsen throws a series of punches but Turaff moves out of range.

Bertelsen tries to sprawl out of it but Turaff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bertelsen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Finn Bertelsen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Turaff pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Turaff throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Turaff is looking to clinch. Turaff shoots for a takedown but Bertelsen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Finn Bertelsen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bertelsen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Turaff swats him away and circles back towards the center. Finn Bertelsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Turaff. Turaff ducks right into an uppercut from Bertelsen. Turaff shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bertelsen as he avoids it easily. Turaff shoots in for a takedown but Bertelsen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Turaff fails in his attempt to clinch. Turaff fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Turaff wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rokou tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Timber paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rokou wants to clinch up but Timber keeps it at a distance. Timber blocks the body kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rokou. That's going to slow Timber down. Rokou tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Timber swivels and escapes. Rokou throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Timber's waist but Timber gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rokou off to one side. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlsen lands a big head kick that sends Gollum tumbling to the mat! Carlsen takes a step backwards and waves Gollum back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gollum is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carlsen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gollum is still on wobbly legs! Can Carlsen finish him? Carlsen feints a jab and as Gollum dips his head, Carlsen unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Gollum right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Gollum falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Carlsen smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piil drives through with a takedown into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Piil stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snoppy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Piil is working hard here to advance position. Piil trying to control the position from guard on top but Snoppy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Snoppy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Snoppy keeping moving, preventing Piil from controlling successfully. Piil drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Snoppy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Piil has Snoppy in his guard. Piil looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snoppy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Piil has control of Snoppy's left arm, preventing Snoppy from doing any damage. Piil shoots in but Snoppy avoids the takedown attempt easily. We've been informed that Snoppy has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Snoppy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Piil. Snoppy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Huxi gets a double leg takedown into Scott's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scott can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Scott is looking to cinch up a triangle. Huxi throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Scott's body to avoid the submission. Scott has instead reached around Huxi's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Scott arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
