Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Blair Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Redfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Blair Davis has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Blair Davis seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blair Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Redfield! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redfield tries to keep at a distance but Davis has taken the fight into the clinch. Davis trying to control the position but instead, Redfield has worked for underhooks and has pushed Davis into the cage. Davis stalling in the clinch.
Redfield blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Davis scores with a knee to the head.
Redfield letting Davis take a breather here. Redfield tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Redfield misses with the head strike.
Redfield throws a head punch that misses. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Redfield. Davis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Redfield blocks it with crossed arms. Davis lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Redfield is rocked! Davis with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Redfield is still on wobbly legs! Can Davis finish him? Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Davis obliges. Redfield throws a head punch that misses. Davis manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Redfield takes a knee right on the jaw!
Davis has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Redfield - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Davis, and another! Redfield is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Blair Davis! A very excited looking Blair Davis made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Mally comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Smith shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. O Mally throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily. O Mally with a nice cross. O Mally throws a jab but it's blocked by Smith. Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Smith misses with a double jab
and O Mally counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! O Mally misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
O Mally digs a good hook to Smith's body.
Mike Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts O Mally as he jumps to the side. Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
O Mally leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. O Mally avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith tries for a takedown but O Mally sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. O Mally misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A left lands for O Mally. Smith looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. O Mally defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith. O Mally swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says O Mally as he avoids it easily. O Mally throws a leg kick but Smith sees it coming and checks it nicely. O Mally throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Smith misses with a takedown attempt - O Mally sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Smith throws a left and a right that both miss
and O Mally connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Mally throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily. O Mally shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Smith thows a body shot but no joy. O Mally has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. O Mally wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Smith closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. O Mally did well to prevent Smith getting side control. O Mally is trying to stand up here but Smith is controlling him well. Smith sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. O Mally defending well though. Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith is trying to control. O Mally wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. O Mally is trying to stand up here but Smith is controlling him well. Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but O Mally does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Smith lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Smith is looking to advance position but O Mally won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith throws a strike but O Mally avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Smith with a flurry of punches that miss. O Mally kicks Smith off and gets to his feet. Smith misses with a few strikes there.
O Mally defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith. A jab from O Mally does it's job there. Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. O Mally avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Smith. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Smith connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused O Mally some visible discomfort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Connor O Mally seems to be getting the better of the standup. O Mally displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith. Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A combination from O Mally does no damage. Smith takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Mike Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily. O Mally lands a front kick. Smith fails to land the takedown. Smith shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Smith was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Mally is not content to let Smith control the position. Check out the look on Smith's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
This has been an exciting period of action! Smith with the ground and pound but O Mally regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Smith landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. O Mally wants to get back to his feet. O Mally is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith trying to control from half guard but O Mally is working away. Smith prevents O Mally from standing back up.
Smith working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed O Mally's head. Smith not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Smith is keen to just control but O Mally is a slippery customer. O Mally won't allow Smith to pass to mount. O Mally keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Smith is stalling here. O Mally is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Smith seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and O Mally has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but O Mally wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. A control attempt from Smith but he's now mounted! O Mally is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Smith shoots in for a double leg but O Mally sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Smith blocks a leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Smith will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
A chopping leg kick lands by O Mally. Smith goes for a double leg but O Mally avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as O Mally continues to drive forward. O Mally is struggling to control the position. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. O Mally prevents the takedown attempt.

O Mally misses with a hook from the clinch. O Mally lands a nice uppercut. Smith tries to score a body lock takedown but O Mally shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Smith changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. O Mally looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Smith is putting a hurting on O Mally here, landing some big shots from side control. Smith is looking to take a break and control but O Mally is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. O Mally takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith cracks O Mally with an elbow. That is naaassty. Smith landing strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. O Mally tries to escape but Smith is in control. Mike Smith overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. O Mally taking a bit of punishment here - Smith scoring with strikes. Smith lands an elbow. O Mally takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Smith working the strikes but O Mally uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith works his foot free and advances to mount. Smith landing punches. Smith raining down shots from the mount! The referee warns O Mally that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Smith is in the full mount, landing strikes. Smith looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of O Mally's face.

O Mally is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him? Smith softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and O Mally is out cold! Smith jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Funkyama with a poor takedown and Dagger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Funkyama misses with a takedown and Dagger counters with a nice leg kick. Dagger lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Dagger scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Funkyama changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dagger tries to avoid it but Funkyama manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dagger to the ground. Dagger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jim Dagger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Funkyama. Dagger misses with a hook

Funkyama thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Funkyama looks winded! Funkyama fails with the takedown and Dagger counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dagger throws a nice outside leg kick. Funkyama shoots in but no luck this time. Dagger circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Funkyama drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Dagger follows Funkyama to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Wolf sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Wolf has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kasady. Kasady has managed to clinch.

Wolf tries to clinch up but Kasady pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Wolf to the mat! Wolf covers up and Kasady unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Eremiel throws a leg kick which misses Growwoo's front leg but catches the back leg as Growwoo tries to avoid it. Eremiel throws a head kick that misses. Eremiel circles away from the clinch attempt.
Eremiel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Growwoo was well out of range. Poor timing from Eremiel. Growwoo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palahnuik swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tay looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Palahnuik throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tay. Palahnuik throws a shot from downtown. Tay moves away and avoids it. Tay bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Palahnuik's head backwards. Tay misses with a hook. Tay moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Palahnuik throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tay's corner calls for a 1-2. Tay obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Palahnuik throws an overhand right that lands on Tay's shoulder, as Tay tries to avoid the shot. Tay throws a jab when Palahnuik was well out of range. Palahnuik is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tay. Palahnuik is looking to chop away at Tay's legs. Palahnuik throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Palahnuik moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Tay looks to land a left hand but Palahnuik moved out of range nicely. Tay doesn't seem bothered though. Tay gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Palahnuik turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Tay waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Palahnuik. Tay is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Tay swings for the body but Palahnuik moves out of range.

Palahnuik comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The fighters circle momentarily. Palahnuik darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Palahnuik lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tay takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

A punch lands to the side of Tay 's head but he takes it in his stride. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tay connects with a body shot that sends Palahnuik's belly button to the back. Palahnuik lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Pete Palahnuik is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Palahnuik misses with a wild body shot.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Red Gym shoots in and drives through. Ritch sprawls well. Red Gym shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ritch felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Red Gym winds up and cracks Ritch with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ritch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Red Gym missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Red Gym misses with a head shot. Ritch uses the momentum to regain guard. Ritch not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Red Gym's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ritch seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Red Gym loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ritch is trying to keep Red Gym in close.

Red Gym is trying to control Ritch's posture but Ritch avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Red Gym is looking for a sweep. Red Gym manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ritch's best efforts. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Piltz looks to land a strike but Slader avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Slader has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Piltz should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Slader has tightened it up now! Piltz should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

McNamara has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Sakuraba takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Lopez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kirby lands with a straight right. Lopez didn't see that one coming. Kirby misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lopez throws a hook but Kirby avoids it easily. Kirby connects with a body shot that sends Lopez's belly button to the back. Good work by Lopez as he checks the leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirby walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lopez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Kirby takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Alfonso Lopez is winning the standup battle so far. Lopez defending well as Kirby loads up on a big left hand. Lopez scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Kirby tries to clinch up but Lopez circles away and keeps his distance. Kirby dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lopez. That did some damage! Lopez lands with a cross. Kirby takes a head kick and keeps coming.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kirby will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Kirby's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Kirby displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lopez throws out the jab. A right-left combo lands from Lopez. Kirby rushes Lopez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kirby lands an elbow that stopped Lopez in his tracks for a moment.
