2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonas Tlusty! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A decent looking cross lands there for Tlusty. Linke shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tlusty defends it nicely. Tlusty lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Tlusty throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Tlusty is looking to land body kicks. Tlusty lands with a shot to the body. Linke misses with a hook
and Tlusty counters with a nice uppercut. Linke is looking to clinch. Tlusty has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Linke is landing a low percentage of strikes. Tlusty listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Linke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tlusty swats him away and circles back towards the center. Linke closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tlusty's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Linke is looking to pass into half guard but Tlusty pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Tlusty is in guard. Linke working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tlusty. Tlusty controlling from the top position. Tlusty connects with a couple of short punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tlusty throws a big elbow that misses. Linke keeping moving, preventing Tlusty from controlling successfully. Jonas Tlusty has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Tlusty lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Tlusty lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Linke at a distance.
Linke fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tlusty, pushing him back against the cage. Linke changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tlusty fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Linke shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Linke showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tlusty.
Jonas Tlusty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Linke fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tlusty avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Linke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tlusty throws out a leg kick but Linke moves out of range and Tlusty only half commits. Tlusty bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tlusty wants to slow Linke down by chopping away at his legs. Tlusty slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Linke rushes Tlusty and presses him up against the cage. Linke lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Tlusty. Linke blocks a punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tlusty tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Linke avoids it. Linke breaks the clinch.
Tlusty has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Tlusty sizes up Linke with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Tlusty pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Linke back to the cage. Tlusty follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Linke connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Linke is looking to clinch. Linke gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A shot to the liver by Tlusty. Beautiful body shot. Linke tries to clinch up. Tlusty cracks Linke with an open hand slap. Tlusty is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Linke had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. A right-left combo lands from Tlusty. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tlusty lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Linke walks into a stiff left hand from Tlusty. Linke on the wrong end of a nice hook. Linke takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Linke takes one on the button. Tlusty misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tlusty circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tlusty tests Linke's chin there with a solid looking shot. Linke takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Linke misses with a looping right. No joy there for Tlusty, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tlusty works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Tlusty punishes Linke's body with a nice straight punch. Left hook, right uppercut from Tlusty.
Linke is rocked! Tlusty closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Linke out cold! Linke corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jonas Tlusty! A relieved looking Jonas Tlusty thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Deftone keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Maximus's efforts to push away. Deftone misses with a body punch.
Maximus has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Maximus is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Maximus is trying to break free. Deftone is looking to break free of the clinch but Maximus has double underhooks. Maximus is trying to push Deftone away but Deftone has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Deftone lands a hook to the side of the head. Maximus looking to slow down the pace here. Deftone stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Maximus prevents Deftone from breaking the clinch. Deftone goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Maximus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Maximus walks into a stiff left hand from Deftone.
It looks like Marcus Megnus Maximus has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Maximus throws a jab when Deftone was well out of range. Maximus has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Maximus is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd cheers as Maximus lands an impressive looking overhand right. Deftone doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Deadguy Deftone has been cut. The fight stays on the outside here - Deftone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deftone wants to slow Maximus down by chopping away at his legs. Deftone instigates a clinch. A short left from Deftone. Deftone struggles to land a body shot inside as Maximus controls his hands.
Maximus is looking to break free of the clinch but Deftone has double underhooks. Maximus wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Maximus tries to break free but Deftone pushes him back against the cage. Deftone tries to throw a body punch but Maximus avoids it by throwing Deftone back against the cage. Deftone comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Maximus lands with a short shot to the head. Maximus is trying to break the clinch but Deftone is controlling him. Deftone lands on the inside with an uppercut. Maximus on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Deftone. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice defenses there by Deftone. Maximus digs a good body shot into Deftone's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Deftone tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Maximus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Maximus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Deftone. Maximus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maximus throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Deftone ducks under a wild hook from Maximus. Deftone tries to clinch up but Maximus circles away and keeps his distance. Maximus throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Deftone sees it coming and avoids it easily. Deftone uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Deftone misses with a double jab.
Deftone is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Deftone throws a body kick that misses. Maximus lands a left and a right that sends Deftone crashing to the canvas! Maximus dives into mount looking to finish! Deftone really wants to buck Maximus off and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deftone is breathing heavily. Maximus working the ground and pound effectively.
Deadguy Deftone's cut is getting worse. Maximus thowing shots but they're missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maximus trying to control but Deftone is having none of it. Poor strikes thrown by Maximus there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Maximus misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Mack has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. CoxX is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mack. Mack tries to get back to half guard but can't. CoxX thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. CoxX looks up at the clock and then as Mack takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, CoxX smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Mack is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, CoxX asserts his dominance and retains side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mack takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Mack wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! CoxX looks up at the clock and then as Mack takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, CoxX smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's three minutes gone in the round. CoxX thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. CoxX landing strikes. Mack looking for a sweep but CoxX has passed into full mount! Oh no! CoxX with good strikes from the mount here! Mack is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Mack sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Mack tries to kick CoxX off but CoxX keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. CoxX is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. CoxX content to control rather than advance. CoxX slips a nice elbow through Mack's hands, connecting with Mack's forehead. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mack is trying to stand.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mack has hold of CoxX's hands but CoxX slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yuri CoxX dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Mack throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Mack throws a head kick but CoxX moves out of range.
Mack tries to clinch but CoxX moves away and CoxX counters with a nice uppercut. CoxX defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mack. Mack throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mack. CoxX is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mack off and has taken his back! Yuri CoxX overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. CoxX lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mack wants to escape the position.
Oooh a big shot gets through from CoxX. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Mack wants to get back to his feet. CoxX has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. CoxX is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Mack up.
CoxX is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Mack defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Mack defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mack is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get CoxX off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. CoxX has the hooks in. Mack is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. CoxX passes his arm under Mack's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Mack taps!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crunch! Ikeda slams his shin into Angel's torso. Ikeda takes the fight into the clinch. Ikeda gets a trip takedown into half guard. Ikeda landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Angel is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ikeda scores with a couple of nice shots. Angel trying to control from the bottom.
Ikeda scoring with strikes to the body and head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Angel actively working from the bottom here. Ikeda lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Ikeda working over Angel with some ground and pound. Angel looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ikeda looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ikeda connects with a nice short shot to Angel's temple. Ikeda is nestled in close to Angel, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Angel is rocked! Ikeda lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Angel! More strikes land and this one is all over! Ikeda jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tomson Jr digs a good body shot into Chim's ribs. Chim throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tomson Jr was covering up waiting for the punch and Chim finishes the takedown easily into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Chim prevents Tomson Jr from getting back to his feet. My spies in Korea Elite MMA inform me that Chim has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Chim sitting in guard here, content to control. Tomson Jr on his back here. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab lands there for Silfversberg. Silfversberg slips a straight right by Green. Green uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silfversberg. Green lands with a shot to the body. Green slips a straight right by Silfversberg. Silfversberg defending well as Green loads up on a big left hand. Green has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Silfversberg stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Green's corner calls for a 1-2. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Green swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Silfversberg lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Silfversberg looks to land a right hand but Green moved out of range. Nice defenses there by Silfversberg. Silfversberg throws an off balance right hand
