The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boothe closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Garuntasticos quickly recovers to half guard. Boothe is trying to work for a kimura but Garuntasticos is defending well.
Garuntasticos wants to get back to full guard. Garuntasticos gets full guard. Boothe looking to pass the guard. Garuntasticos keeping moving, preventing Boothe from controlling successfully. Boothe preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garuntasticos is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon misses with a lunging right hand
and Dixon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Merle Dixon has been cut. Dixon throws a lazy right hand but Dicker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Dicker walks into a left hand. Dixon throws a jab when Dicker was well out of range. Dixon avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Dixon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dicker on the side of the head. Merle Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dixon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Dicker moves out of range of the strikes. Dixon lands a front kick. Dicker misses with the combination.
Dixon cracks Dicker with a right hand to the side of the head. Nice uppercut there from Dixon. Dicker slips a straight right by Dixon. Dixon misses with a right hand and Dicker counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Dixon badly! Dicker follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Dixon out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Dicker finished him against the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Iori throws a hook but Punch avoids it easily. Iori slips under a jab from Punch. Punch connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Junpei Iori has been cut. Punch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Punch lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A thudding body kick lands there by Iori!

That's one minute gone in the round. Punch bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Iori tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Punch takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Iori uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Punch. Punch slips a jab from Iori. Iori connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. A jab from Punch finds it's way through Iori's defenses. Iori misses with an uppercut. Punch tests Iori's chin there with a solid looking shot. Punch connects with the punch. Iori is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Punch getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Punch slips a straight right by Iori. Punch connects with a good right hand that stumbles Iori. Iori circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Iori is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Iori throws the left hand but Punch avoids the punch easily. Punch jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Iori takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Oh Iori is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Punch uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Iori.
Punch loads up on a big right hand but Iori slips the punch. Iori takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Punch slips under a jab. Iori gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Punch gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Iori is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Lost scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bloom in his tracks. Lost listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Lost keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Waldo Lost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Bloom. Lost scores with a hook. Lost cracks Bloom with a good jab. Lost connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bloom's hands. Bloom throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lost's waist but Lost gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bloom off to one side. The fighters circle, before Lost throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Bloom's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Lost lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
