14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunnar Nelson! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by Nelson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nelson. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nelson. Nelson misses the shot to the body. Nelson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Caron.
Caron staying out of range there. Caron fails with an attempt to clinch.
Caron connects with a leg kick. Nelson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Nelson throws a low kick but Caron moves out of range easily. Nelson digs a good body shot into Caron's ribs. Caron fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nelson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Caron pulls out of a head kick attempt.

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Caron to score with a decent uppercut. Caron tries to clinch up but Nelson circles away and keeps his distance. Nelson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Caron's guard.

Nelson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Caron clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Well, with Nelson on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Caron is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Nelson is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Horrible takedown by Thomas or perhaps it was just good defense by Kiuga which made him look bad. Thomas fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kiuga looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Thomas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Thomas wants to clinch up but Kiuga keeps it at a distance. Good leg kick by Damme there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
