The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skiddles throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kooli doesn't manage to clinch there - Skiddles circles away.
Kooli moves in looking to clinch but Skiddles pushes him off. Skiddles throws a nice looking combination but Kooli bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kooli moves in looking to clinch but Skiddles pushes him off. Kooli throws the kick towards the body but Skiddles avoids it. Kooli tries to clinch up but Skiddles circles away and keeps his distance. That's one minute gone in the round. Kooli creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Kooli prevents Skiddles from breaking the clinch. Kooli has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Skiddles uses from the top position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kooli looking for a guillotine here but Skiddles defends easily.

Skiddles takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Skiddles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kooli does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Skiddles tries to pass to full mount but Kooli defends it. Kooli tries to roll over but Skiddles keeps him under control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kooli is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Skiddles pulls his head out easily. Kooli slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skiddles wants to control from the top but Kooli keeps moving. Kooli seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Skiddles looking to sit in guard and control but Kooli gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kooli pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Skiddles is keeping the position for now. Skiddles tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kooli trying to control but Skiddles is working from the bottom. Kooli stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skiddles swivels though and keeps the full guard. Skiddles controls Kooli momentarily but Kooli frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skiddles bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kooli's guard. Skiddles advances position into side control! Kooli tries to get back to half guard but can't. Skiddles tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Skiddles has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kooli stops Skiddles from passing to mount. Kooli regains half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kooli trying to hold on to Skiddles's head to control him but Skiddles postures up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kooli wants to improve his position but Skiddles is controlling well.

That was a close round but I would say that Feta Kooli will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Skiddles lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Skiddles uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kooli. Skiddles closes the distance looking to clinch and Kooli counters with a leg kick. Kooli lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kooli drives through and clinches with Skiddles against the cage.

Kooli drops his hands momentarily and Skiddles takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Skiddles swinging wildly here.
Skiddles pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kooli changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skiddles tries to avoid it but Kooli manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skiddles to the ground. Skiddles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Skiddles ducks under a wild hook from Kooli.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kooli dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Skiddles. That did some damage! Skiddles fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kooli looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Skiddles will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Skiddles lands with a hook. Kooli tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Kooli throws a poor cross that misses
and Skiddles counters with a takedown into side control. Kooli sneaks back into half guard. Kooli makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kooli. Kooli is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Skiddles trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kooli manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Byron Skiddles has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kooli is sitting in close to Skiddles's body. Skiddles has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kooli is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kooli is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Skiddles.

It looks like Marcus Johnston has been cut. Metsast's coach down at Brick Brawlers MMA (13 Coaches) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Metsast's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Metsast lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Johnston falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

and Schmeyer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Schmeyer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Harris throws a left and a right that both miss
and Schmeyer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Harris throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Schmeyer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Harris takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Schmeyer lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Harris goes down and covers up as Schmeyer starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Nolan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Seamon's guard. Seamon misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Menchaka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mendez rushes Menchaka and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Menchaka creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Menchaka is looking to control Mendez's arms but Mendez gets an underhook and turns him. Now Menchaka has his back to the cage. Menchaka blocks an uppercut.
Mendez misses with a hook from the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Menchaka tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mendez's elbow. Mendez blocks a body shot from Menchaka.

Menchaka lands a nice shot to the body. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mendez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Mendez being controlled against the cage. Menchaka lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Mendez to his knees! Menchaka keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitchell Menchaka! A less than humble Mitchell Menchaka misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Kelvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reeve NcDemomnd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying NcDemomnd's choice of entrance music: Back in Black. Reeve NcDemomnd struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Carlos Kelvin looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Kelvin misses. Kelvin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Kelvin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. NcDemomnd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. NcDemomnd has gone for a leg lock! Kelvin slips out almost immediately though and dives into NcDemomnd's guard. NcDemomnd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kelvin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but NcDemomnd is tightening it up a little... Kelvin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kelvin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kelvin taps out! Nice BJJ there by NcDemomnd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Rogers. Those never looked like landing. Tavares has his takedown stuffed and Rogers counters with a three punch combo that has Tavares backing up. Tavares nods at Rogers to acknowledge the strikes. Tavares doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rogers counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Gideao Tavares has been cut. Tavares get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Tavares stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Rogers runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Porter is trying to defend but Penn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Porter felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Porter is looking for a sweep. Penn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Porter works his way to full guard. Good work. Penn throws a big right hand that misses. Porter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Penn controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Penn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Porter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Penn has managed to get both his arms back between Porter's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving. Penn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Penn looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Penn trying to control but Porter is working from the bottom. Porter looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Penn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Porter is looking for a triangle but Penn pushes his legs off easily.
Penn lands a couple of decent looking shots. Porter looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Penn passes into half guard.
Penn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Porter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Penn sitting and controlling from the half guard. Penn lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Penn is looking for a kimura here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Penn trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Porter closes the distance and clinches up with Penn, looking for a takedown. Porter pushes Penn against the cage but Penn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Penn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Porter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Penn's guard now. Porter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Penn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macotti takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A lazy left from Harris finds it's target. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Harris cracks Macotti with a big right hand and Macotti goes down!
Macotti is rocked! Macotti wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Harris manages to pass to side control. Macotti is trying to stand up here but Harris is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harris performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Harris's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Harris stops Macotti from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macotti slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Harris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Marvin Harris was stalling too much, according to the referee. Macotti takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Macotti fails with a takedown attempt. Harris has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. The crowd cheers as Harris lands an impressive looking overhand right. Macotti doesn't seem phased though. Harris cracks a nice hook into Macotti's ribs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harris stuffs the takedown. Macotti is breathing heavily. Harris slaps away a takedown attempt from Macotti, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Macotti. That's going to take a lot out of him. Harris cracks a nice hook into Macotti's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Macotti drops his hands for a split second and Harris immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Macotti face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Harris follows up with a right hand that knocks Macotti into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
