Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cacildis Me! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Camus De Aquario! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Aquario misses with an uppercut
and Me counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Aquario looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Me scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Me throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aquario had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Me defends it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Aquario working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Me. Me postures up.
Me got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aquario has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Me has managed to get both his arms back between Aquario's legs - danger averted. Me throwing strikes from guard but Aquario blocks nicely. Aquario is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aquario avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Aquario keeping moving, preventing Me from controlling successfully. Me makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Me trying to control the position from guard on top but Aquario is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Me has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Aquario is trying to keep Me in close.
Me tries to free his leg and advance position but Aquario is retaining full guard. Aquario wants to sweep here but Me controlling him for the moment. Me throws a big right hand that misses. Aquario utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Aquario working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Me throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aquario works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aquario trying to keep a closed guard but Me is proving a slippery customer.
Me chips away with some ground and pound. Me wants to pass the guard but Aquario is keeping the position. Aquario controls Me momentarily but Me frees himself. Aquario looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
This has been an exciting period of action! Me postures up.
Me passes Aquario's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Aquario keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Me missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Me wants to pass the guard but Aquario is defending well. Me not landing any meaningful shots this time. Aquario trying to control but Me postures up.
Me throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Aquario is not content to let Me control the position. Me drops an elbow to the side of Aquario's head. Aquario trying to hold on to Me's head to control him but Me postures up.
Aquario is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Me is tapping! Great win for Aquario!
