That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hyun Sudo.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanches throws an overhand right that lands on Balingit's shoulder, as Balingit tries to avoid the shot.
Sanches thows a body shot but no joy.
Balingit keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sanches.

and Balingit counters by clinching up.

Sanches throws a lazy right hand but Balingit sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Balingit swings for the body but Sanches moves out of range.
Sanches lands a nice shot to the body.
Balingit wants to clinch up but Sanches keeps it at a distance.
Sanches feints and then cracks Balingit's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Balingit down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanches is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Balingit.
Sanches misses with an uppercut

and Balingit counters by clinching up.
Balingit controlling the action here for a moment.
Balingit looking to stall.
Sanches tries to work over Balingit's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Balingit holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Balingit prevents Sanches from breaking the clinch.
Balingit taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Sanches manages to break the clinch.
Balingit gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sanches takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Balingit tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanches paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Balingit closes the distance and pushes Sanches back into the cage.

Sanches throws a head punch that misses.
Sanches pushes Balingit back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Balingit landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Sanches tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Balingit stalls.
Balingit is trying to stall.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ej Balingit.
Balingit uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sanches.
Sanches works Balingit's body with a nice hook.
Good work by Balingit as he checks the leg kick.
Sanches fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Balingit is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Balingit keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Sanches tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Balingit is able to avoid easily.
Balingit throws a jab but it's blocked by Sanches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Balingit moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Ej Balingit has been cut.
Sanches fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Balingit checks it well.
Sanches swats away the attempt to clinch by Balingit.
Balingit tries to clinch there but Sanches circles away.
Sanches has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Sanches goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Balingit misses with a wild body shot.
Balingit bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sanches. Balingit does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Balingit crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sanches - the referee stops the clock and Balingit gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sanches. Balingit manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sanches's corner calls for a 1-2. Sanches obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sanches looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Sanches misses with an uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Renato Sanches dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ej Balingit's cut.
That's time! Balingit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Some bone on bone action there as Balingit checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sanches lands a nice looking body shot.

Sanches lands a big uppercut and Balingit crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Balingit looks OK. Sanches waves Balingit back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Balingit tries to clinch up but Sanches circles away and keeps his distance.
A slapping body kick lands there for Sanches.
Sanches is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Balingit hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Renato Sanches!
