The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Walian misses. Walian motions for Hall to come forward. Walian throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hall pushes Walian up against the cage in a clinch. Hall scores with a shot to the side of Walian's head. Walian wants a takedown.
Walian tries to score a body lock takedown but Hall shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hall as Walian tries to tie him up. Walian misses with a short punch on the inside. Hall working aggressively here.

Walian wants to get back to striking at distance but Hall won't allow it.
Walian jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hall walks away with a smile on his face. Walian gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Dean Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Walian. Hall tries to clinch there but Walian circles away.
Walian throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Walian jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall cracks Walian with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Hall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walian paws at him with a jab and circles away. Walian changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hall tries to avoid it but Walian manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hall to the ground. Hall escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Walian is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hall sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hall keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Walian. Walian throws a hook to the side of Hall's head but Hall sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Walian swings away with a leg kick that misses. The fighters circling - Walian throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Walian shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hall defends it nicely. Walian misses with a low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big right from Walian misses. A big left from Hall misses. Walian shoots in but Hall avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hall with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Walian to score with a decent uppercut. Walian slips under a jab. Walian misses with a double jab.
Walian throws a hook but Hall blocks it. Walian throws a body punch but Hall moves out of range. Walian swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Walian moves out of range of the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walian feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hall's calf. Walian is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hall. Hall tries to clinch but Walian moves out of range. A big right from Walian misses. A leg kick checked by Hall. Hall waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Walian. The fighters circling - Hall throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hall is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Walian gets the takedown into side control. Hall is looking to reverse the position. Hall is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Hall is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walian wants to work for an arm triangle but Hall is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Walian is looking to advance position but Hall won't allow it. Walian working the head and body with strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Walian frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hall is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hall is squirming around, avoiding Walian's attempts to control the action. Hall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walian on the ground. Walian quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Walian but it's paid off an Hall is forced to tap! Nice work by Walian.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice combo by Deems! Oh, that's hurt him - Pelaez falls to the canvas and Deems follows him into side control.

It looks like Jerson Pelaez has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Deems is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pelaez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pelaez is still in real trouble! Can Deems finish him? The referee asks Deems politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Deems prefers to stall for the moment though. Deems lands a nice forearm strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pelaez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Deems's best efforts. Deems slows the pace down in half guard. Deems decides to return to a standing position. Deems is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Deems shuts the power down on Pelaez. Lights out, game over! Deems is your winner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ondahl with a poor takedown and Nunes counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Nunes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ondahl drives through and clinches with Nunes against the cage.

Nunes has Ondahl pushed against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ondahl. Nunes pressing his opponent against the cage. Ondahl tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Evangelista Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klas Ondahl. Ondahl jumps guard but Nunes stands there with Ondahl around his waist. Ondahl gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ondahl takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Nunes gets a clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nunes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nunes throws a quick inside leg kick. Nunes bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nunes lands a jab to the nose. Nunes pushes Ondahl away with a front kick. Nunes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ondahl, pushing him back against the cage. Ondahl jumps guard and drags Nunes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Ondahl has his foot on Nunes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nunes works his way back into a safe position though. Nunes trying to control but Ondahl is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ondahl looking for a sweep. Not yet Ondahl, not yet. Ondahl working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ondahl keeping moving, preventing Nunes from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Evangelista Nunes wasn't doing enough on the ground. Nunes cracks Ondahl with an open hand slap. Nunes throws a nice inside leg kick. Ondahl takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Nunes throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Evangelista Nunes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ondahl moves to clinch but Nunes breaks away and Nunes counters with a good, hard body kick but Ondahl shrugs it off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Decent striking displayed by Nunes there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nunes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nunes rushes Ondahl and presses him up against the cage. Nunes is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nunes stalling in the clinch.

Evangelista Nunes dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nunes connects with an inside leg kick. Nunes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ondahl dives in and grabs Nunes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nunes pushes down on Ondahl's head and hops out. Ondahl moves out of range of the body kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Nunes. A jab from Nunes does it's job there. Ondahl wants to clinch up but Nunes keeps it at a distance. Evangelista Nunes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nunes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nunes scores with a push kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nunes feints and then cracks Ondahl's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ondahl down. It looks like Nunes has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Ondahl is breathing heavily.

Nunes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ondahl stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ondahl tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Nunes scores with a sloppy right hand. Ondahl should have avoided that one. Nunes moves into range and clinches up with Ondahl. Nunes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Nunes is pushing Ondahl up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Nunes breaks the clinch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Nunes. Nunes throws a leg kick which misses Ondahl's front leg but catches the back leg as Ondahl tries to avoid it. Nunes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ondahl goes for a double leg but Nunes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nunes continues to drive forward. Evangelista Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klas Ondahl. Nunes just leaning against Ondahl, taking a breather.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Ondahl is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Nunes to keep the fight standing. Nunes scores a nice knee to the body.

Ondahl swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nunes wanted to stand there but Ondahl had control of the position. Nunes lands a couple of elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ondahl tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Evangelista Nunes is winning the standup battle so far. Nunes lands a left and a right that send Ondahl crashing to the mat, dazed. Nunes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Folignus throws a leg kick that is checked and Mansikka counters with a nice uppercut. Mansikka looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Folignus! Folignus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mansikka wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mansikka is looking to take a break and control but Folignus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mansikka passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Folignus! Mansikka with the ground and pound from mount. Folignus is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Mansikka avoids the attempt from Folignus to control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mansikka throws some wild stikes that Folignus manages to avoid easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Folignus is looking to improve his position but Mansikka isn't that keen on the idea. Mansikka lands a nice shot to the head. Mansikka thowing shots but they're missing. Mansikka looking to ground and pound but Folignus is blocking nicely. Folignus is in all sorts of trouble here.

He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Folignus turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Mansikka off and cradles Folignus's limp body as Mansikka celebrates with his corner.

Brookins has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Tutov moves out of range of the body kick from Brookins.

Brookins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tutov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Brookins in his tracks. Brookins takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Brookins takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Tutov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Tutov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Tutov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brookins haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Brookins is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brookins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brookins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Tutov pulls Brookins in close to prevent any damage. Brookins is looking to work some ground and pound but Tutov has wrist control. Tutov is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Brookins is defending well though. Tutov let's go of the attempt for now. Tutov is persistently looking for the submission but Brookins is defending it well.
Tutov is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brookins wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tutov has his opponent's back but Brookins is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Tutov. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brookins with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tutov to score with a decent uppercut. Tutov connects with a solid leg kick.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chekhemani has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Anderson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Mello MMA in the buildup to the fight. McCaw crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Anderson - the referee stops the clock and McCaw gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Anderson. I think Bravo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Damian Marley - Confrontation. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bravo scores with a takedown into TupperIII's guard. TupperIII working for a triangle but Bravo defends it easily.
Bravo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. TupperIII keeping full guard, as Bravo tries to pass. TupperIII throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Bravo wants to control from the top but TupperIII keeps moving. TupperIII has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bravo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. TupperIII keeping full guard, as Bravo tries to pass. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bravo 's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by TupperIII. Bravo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bravo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. TupperIII manages to get himself to full guard.
TupperIII throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bravo escapes and throws TupperIII's legs to the side, diving into side control! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bravo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by TupperIII, who protects the arm well. Bravo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. TupperIII knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joey Rodinerio Bravo dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

TupperIII drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bravo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now TupperIII has Bravo in his guard. Bravo wants to control from the top but TupperIII keeps moving.

TupperIII is looking for a sweep. Bravo advances to mount. Bravo moves to back control. TupperIII rolls, trying to escape but Bravo keeps control of the position.
What can TupperIII do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Bravo tries to keep control of the position but TupperIII is staying busy. You can see the frustration on TupperIII's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

TupperIII is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Bravo off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. TupperIII is still trying to improve position. TupperIII tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! TupperIII is controlling an arm, preventing Bravo from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Bravo mounts TupperIII! Really nice guard pass there! Bravo fails to move to back control. TupperIII wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Bravo is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. TupperIII defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. TupperIII is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bravo gets his way!

Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bravo arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Cama. Cama throws a sloppy head kick and Panda moves out of range easily. Panda looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Cama throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cama throws a sloppy head kick and Panda moves out of range easily. Cama tries a head kick but it misses.
Cama tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Pops Cama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Panda tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Horrible takedown by Panda or perhaps it was just good defense by Cama which made him look bad. Cama swings away with a leg kick that misses. Cama misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cama throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Panda's head. Cama has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Panda is landing a low percentage of strikes. Panda will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A head kick by Cama misses and Panda counters with a nice body shot. Cama gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cama goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Panda is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Po Panda. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cama lands a right hand that snaps the head of Panda backwards. Panda has clasped his hands together around Cama's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Panda connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cama some visible discomfort.

Panda creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cama sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cama can do anything to dispel that myth. Panda throws a strike aimed at the side of Cama's head but Cama avoids it well. Panda tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Panda creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cama sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cama takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cama takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Panda looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Cama is avoiding damage well.
Panda is trying to ground and pound but Cama uses the momentary lack of control by Panda to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Panda works his way into side control. Cama wants to get back to his feet. Panda lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cama down.
Panda scores with a couple of short elbows. Panda is putting a hurting on Cama here, landing some big shots from side control. Panda misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Cama avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Panda. Cama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Panda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panda working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Panda sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cama is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Panda lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cama down.

Panda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Panda looks up at the clock and then as Cama takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Panda smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Panda advances nicely into full mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cama is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Panda softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Cama is out cold! Panda jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Po Panda! A pretty intense looking Po Panda took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
