The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lerner shoots in and gets a takedown into Bigsby's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bigsby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bigsby has control of Lerner's left arm, preventing Lerner from doing any damage.
Lerner trying to control but Bigsby is working from the bottom.
Bigsby controls Lerner momentarily but Lerner frees himself.
Lerner has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lerner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lerner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bigsby.
Lerner fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bigsby.

A jab-cross combination lands for Bigsby and sends Lerner crashing to the mat! Bigsby follows him down to the mat - Lerner regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bigsby is trying for a kimura here. Lerner looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Bigsby wins by kimura!

Good leg kick by Swag there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Monroe lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Swag at a distance.
Swag throws a body punch but Monroe moves out of range.
Monroe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Swag does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Monroe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Swag moves away.
Monroe just misses with a punch to the body.

Swag digs a good body shot into Monroe's ribs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

On his way into the cage it seems that Jetrone Lagoc has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jetrone Lagoc seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Lagoc steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Staley's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Staley just didn't come prepared.
