12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sameer Hamadoui! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamadoui scores with a takedown into Numazawa's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hamadoui trying to control but Numazawa is working from the bottom. Numazawa is working an open guard so Hamadoui takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Numazawa gets caught napping as Hamadoui dives in and scores a takedown. Numazawa manages to retain guard. Numazawa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hamadoui trying to control but Numazawa is working from the bottom. Numazawa is trying to keep Hamadoui in close.
Numazawa wants to sweep here but Hamadoui controlling him for the moment. Numazawa keeping moving, preventing Hamadoui from controlling successfully.
Daisuke Numazawa has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Numazawa throws a series of punches but Hamadoui moves out of range.

Numazawa is stalling here. Hamadoui is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Numazawa seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hamadoui has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Numazawa struggling a bit here. What's Numazawa going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Hamadoui decides to stand back up. Hamadoui steps back and let's Numazawa get back to his feet. Hamadoui gets tackled into the cage by Numazawa. Numazawa maintains the clinch. Numazawa is trying to push Hamadoui away but Hamadoui has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Numazawa is working for takedown but Hamadoui is calmly controlling the position for now. Hamadoui manages to break the clinch.
Hamadoui has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Numazawa is landing a low percentage of strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Numazawa cracks Hamadoui with an open hand slap. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hamadoui gets a takedown into half guard. Hamadoui thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Numazawa's head. Numazawa is refusing to be controlled, as Hamadoui sits in half guard. Hamadoui prevents Numazawa from improving his position. It looks like Hamadoui is going to stand back up.
Hamadoui wants to free his trapped foot but Numazawa is holding on for dear life with his legs. Numazawa keeps control of the position for the meantime. Hamadoui is looking to advance position but Numazawa won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Numazawa is staying active underneath Hamadoui, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Numazawa is looking for a sweep. Hamadoui is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sameer Hamadoui. Hamadoui is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Numazawa's half guard. Numazawa is staying active underneath Hamadoui, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hamadoui is controlling the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sameer Hamadoui was stalling too much, according to the referee. Numazawa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Numazawa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hamadoui, who protects the arm well. This has been an exciting period of action! Hamadoui keeps Numazawa under control for a moment. You can see the frustration on Hamadoui's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Numazawa is trying to get an arm triangle but Hamadoui is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Numazawa throws an elbow but Hamadoui slips to the side and avoids it well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Numazawa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Numazawa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sameer Hamadoui will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hamadoui wants to clinch up but Numazawa keeps it at a distance. Hamadoui gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hamadoui breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Danga de danga de dang - Hamadoui scores with a four punch combination! Numazawa shoots for a double leg takedown but Hamadoui sprawls well. He's pushed Numazawa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hamadoui changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Numazawa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Hamadoui. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Sloppy strikes there by Hamadoui. Numazawa is looking for a sweep. Hamadoui is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hamadoui landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Hamadoui tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hamadoui wants to control but Numazawa is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Numazawa is trying to control Hamadoui's posture but Hamadoui avoids it. Numazawa is looking to regain half guard here but Hamadoui keeps moving and retains side control. Hamadoui decides to stand back up. Hamadoui bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hamadoui working away. Hamadoui trying to control the action but Numazawa is working from the bottom. Numazawa manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hamadoui's best efforts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Numazawa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hamadoui's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hamadoui's back! Hamadoui rolls, trying to escape but Numazawa keeps control of the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hamadoui is trying to get back to his feet but Numazawa has full control of the position and if anything, Hamadoui has just worked his way into a worse spot. Numazawa is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donatello misses with a lunging right hand
and Klitschko counters with a series of strikes. Donatello will be more careful next time no doubt. Klitschko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Klitschko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Klitschko looks to score with a jab to the body but Donatello is just out of range. Donatello shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Klitschko sprawls well. Klitschko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Donatello gets slowly back to his feet. Donatello throws out a loose jab but Klitschko uses good head movement to avoid it. Klitschko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Donatello. Donatello has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Klitschko finds it's way round the side to connect with Donatello's head.
It looks like Furijima Donatello has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Klitschko scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Donatello is breathing heavily. Klitschko misses with a few strikes there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Donatello lands a jab to the nose. Yegor Klitschko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Donatello stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Klitschko. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Klitschko!

Furijima Donatello's cut is getting worse. Donatello tries to score a power double leg takedown but Klitschko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Donatello somewhat. Klitschko misses with a two punch combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Donatello finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Klitschko's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Donatello falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yegor Klitschko! After winning the bout, Yegor Klitschko thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Watanabe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Holmes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Holmes there as he acknowledges the shot. Holmes tries to clinch up and Watanabe counters with a single leg into guard. Holmes didn't expect that. Holmes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Watanabe can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Our winner, Kengo Watanabe, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. Goins drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vadokowich manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Goins has Vadokowich in his guard. Goins looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Vadokowich puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Vadokowich stacks Goins on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vadokowich!
