The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Apanson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Becks moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A low kick from Becks is predictable there and Apanson counters with a nice uppercut. Becks throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Apanson enables Becks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Apanson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Becks lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Apanson trying to strike off his back.
Apanson looking for a sweep. Not yet Apanson, not yet. Apanson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Becks has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Becks trying to land knees to the body.

Becks cracks a nice hook into Apanson's ribs. Apanson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Apanson seems to have recovered his senses. Becks has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Apanson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Apanson manages to break the clinch.

Becks is looking to wear down Apanson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Apanson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Apanson cracks Becks with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Apanson tries to bum rush Becks with a series of wild strikes but Becks uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Apanson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Apanson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Apanson misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Becks counters with a nice low kick that buckles Apanson's knee momentarily. Becks misses with a jab to the body
and Apanson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Apanson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Apanson looks winded! Apanson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Apanson throws out a loose jab but Becks uses good head movement to avoid it. Becks throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Becks moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Becks connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Becks misses with a straight right. Becks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Apanson was well out of range. Poor timing from Becks. Apanson misses with a leg kick and Becks counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Becks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Apanson manages to avoid it. Becks does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Apanson misses with a two punch combination.

A lazy body kick from Apanson and Becks counters with a stiff right hand. Becks takes a swing at Apanson's ribcage but misses. Apanson throws a hook to the side of Becks's head but Becks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Becks throws a body punch but Apanson moves out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A swing and a miss from Becks. Becks throws a front kick aimed at Apanson's knee but Apanson avoids it well. Apanson blocks the body kick.
Apanson has a takedown stuffed. Apanson throws a series of punches but Becks moves out of range. Becks connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Apanson's hands. Becks fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Apanson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Becks swivels and escapes. Becks scores with a slapping inside leg kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Becks throws a shot to the body.

Bj Becks is winning the standup battle so far. Becks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Apanson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Apanson tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Apanson manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Apanson, under a barage of strikes from Becks.
Becks scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Becks tries to pass to full mount but Apanson defends it.

Apanson tries to roll over but Becks keeps him under control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Apanson is refusing to be controlled, as Becks sits in half guard. Becks thows a huge punch but Apanson dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Becks maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Apanson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Becks has cracked it and Apanson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Becks!

Evans postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Li lands a jab. Li is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bosh shoots in looking for a takedown. Li tries to sprawl out of it but Bosh keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Li manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bosh is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Li takes one to the chin there. Li fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bosh. Bosh pushes Li up against the cage in a clinch. We've been informed that Li has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Bosh misses with a short punch on the inside. Bosh prevents the takedown attempt.
Bosh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bosh lunges at Li with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Li's hand.
