No joy there for Yu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Laury throws a lazy uppercut
and Yu counters with a one-two to the body.
Yu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Laury circles away quickly and effectively.
Yu ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laury misses with a looping left.
Laury throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Yu.
Yu scores with a crisp jab that stopped Laury in his tracks.

It looks like Matt Laury has been cut.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Yu! Laury is backing up but he can't get away as Yu lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Laury and ends the fight. Great knockout.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


BJ tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it.

BJ throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gracie was covering up waiting for the punch and BJ finishes the takedown easily into guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

BJ is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
BJ seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Jay Dee BJ showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



BJ pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as BJ walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
BJ misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from BJ.
Gracie throws a series of punches but BJ avoids them all with ease.
A jab from BJ does it's job there.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by BJ which made him look bad.
BJ fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with BJ, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes BJ against the cage but BJ circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royce Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
BJ throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
BJ tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gracie swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jay Dee BJ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well BJ has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

and Filter counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Alfredsson out cold! What a finish! Filter is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Syphon Filter decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
