Phaneuf throws a nice looking combination but Rudy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dion Phaneuf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Phaneuf takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Dion Phaneuf has been cut.
Rudy cracks Phaneuf with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rudy has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Phaneuf to stand back up!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
