The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Asuka gets caught napping as Seamon dives in and scores a takedown. Asuka manages to retain guard. Asuka looking for a sweep. Not yet Asuka, not yet. Seamon wants to control from the top but Asuka keeps moving. Asuka is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Asuka is trying to control the position but Seamon postures up. Seamon wants to pass the guard but Asuka is keeping the position. Asuka controls Seamon momentarily but Seamon frees himself. Asuka has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Seamon doesn't defend quickly enough and Asuka has managed to lock this one up! Can Seamon escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Asuka on a fantastic submission victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shota looks to score with a jab to the body but Lowry is just out of range. Shota closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lowry circles away. Lowry misses with the combination.
Shota uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lowry.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A decent looking cross lands there for Shota. Shota dives into mount looking to finish! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lowry avoids a series of strikes thrown by Shota.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lowry wants to stand but Shota has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Darien Lowry wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lowry dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Lowry throws an off balance right hand

enabling Shota to counter with a crisp jab. Lowry jabs Shota to the body, keeping him at a distance. Shota is looking to clinch. Lowry clobbers Shota with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Shota gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lowry scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Shota darts in trying to clinch and Lowry counters with a stiff right hand. Lowry slaps away a takedown attempt from Shota, before circling back to the center of the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shota closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Lowry rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shota moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lowry ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Lowry cracks Shota with a right hand to the side of the head. Lowry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lowry scores with a decent looking hook. Lowry scores with a hook to the body. Shota takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Lowry connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shota momentarily.
Lowry throws out a token jab with nothing on it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adrian Shota dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Shota with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lowry to score with a decent uppercut. Shota on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Sato displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Scott. Sato throws out a loose jab but Scott uses good head movement to avoid it. Scott goes for a double leg but Sato avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sato continues to drive forward. Higashi Sato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bonald Scott. Sato tries to circle away but Scott has him pinned against the cage. Sato is looking to break free of the clinch but Scott has double underhooks. Scott blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Sato's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sato misses with a left hand and Scott counters with a single leg into guard. Sato didn't expect that. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Sato looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sato accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sato with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sato trying to control but Scott is working from the bottom. Sato knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scott on the ground. Scott looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sato looking to sit in guard and control but Scott gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sato swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sato tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sato throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scott slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sato tries to improve position but can't. Scott is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sato has escaped the position, nice work there. Scott cracks Sato with an elbow. That is naaassty. Scott tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Scott has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Scott prevents Sato from escaping the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sato is trying to get back to half guard. Sato is working hard here to advance position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott blocks a body shot from Sato. Scott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sato is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Scott. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sato swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanner scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Tanner scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Tanner lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Tanner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ferreira to score an easy takedown into full guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Tanner keeping full guard, as Ferreira tries to pass. Tanner had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ferreira defends it easily. Tanner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ferreira can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ferreira trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tanner throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
