The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stroker with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mendy to score with a decent uppercut.
Stroker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mendy lands a left and a right that send Stroker crashing to the mat, dazed. Mendy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Willie Stroker has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stroker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mendy but Mendy pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mendy scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stroker doesn't seem bothered though.
