The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jewtuszko pinned against the cage. Jewtuszko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jewtuszko slaps away a takedown attempt from Scott, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Roger Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scott tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jewtuszko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Scott somewhat.
Maciej Jewtuszko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Scott.
Nice takedown defense from Jewtuszko. No joy for Scott on that attempt.

Scott fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jewtuszko to the ground. Scott is now in Jewtuszko's guard.

That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Scott! Submission of the night perhaps?

Sobers fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bomb has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sobers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bomb. Bomb circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

and Guevera counters with a single leg into guard. Simpson didn't expect that.
Guevera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Simpson is looking for a triangle but Guevera pushes his legs off easily.

Simpson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Guevera defends well.
Guevera trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Guevera sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Simpson's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Freeman thuds his right hand into Evansen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Evansen throws a hook to the side of Freeman's head but Freeman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Freeman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

No luck for Freeman with that takedown attempt.
Freeman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Evansen's waist but Evansen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Freeman off to one side.

Evansen throws a lazy right hand but Freeman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Evansen throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Freeman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Evansen throws a front kick that sends Freeman stumbling back into the cage.
Freeman looks winded!
Freeman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A combination from Freeman does no damage.
Freeman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Freeman is trying desperately to land a takedown but Evansen is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Freeman.
Freeman shoots in looking for a takedown but Evansen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Freeman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Evansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Evansen lands a nice hook to Freeman's body. Freeman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Evansen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Freeman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Evansen has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Freeman should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Evansen has tightened it up now! Freeman should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
