Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Borat Sagdiyev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randall Stevens! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sagdiyev was covering up waiting for the punch and Stevens finishes the takedown easily into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Sagdiyev is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sagdiyev seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Stevens stands and steps away. Sagdiyev gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sagdiyev misses with a takedown attempt and Stevens counters by clinching up. Stevens turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Stevens manages to end up in side control. Sagdiyev defending against the ground and pound. Stevens trying to control the action but Sagdiyev is working from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sagdiyev trying his best to control but Stevens has mounted him.

6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cosmo Starstryder! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mazuke connects with a solid leg kick. Mazuke shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Starstryder's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Starstryder wants to sweep but no luck. Mazuke stands and steps away. Starstryder gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Mazuke with a body punch. A glancing blow. Starstryder looks winded! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mazuke looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mazuke thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Starstryder's head. Mazuke stands up from half guard. Starstryder tries for a takedown but Mazuke circles away easily and Mazuke counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Starstryder's guard now. Mazuke slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mazuke stands up and waves to Starstryder to follow him. Starstryder throws the kick towards the body but Mazuke avoids it. Starstryder shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Starstryder cracks Mazuke with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Mazuke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Starstryder avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mazuke working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Mazuke gets to his feet. Starstryder looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Toki Mazuke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cosmo Starstryder. Mazuke gets through Starstryder's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Starstryder swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Mazuke has his foot on Starstryder's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Starstryder works his way back into a safe position though. Mazuke connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Starstryder some visible discomfort.

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wordsworth Ward to score with a decent uppercut. Horrible takedown by Reynolds or perhaps it was just good defense by Wordsworth Ward which made him look bad. Wordsworth Ward will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Funtov defending well as Johnson loads up on a big left hand. Johnson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Funtov shoots in and gets a takedown into Johnson's guard. Funtov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Funtov is controlling him. Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johnson has a loose triangle. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Houle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Houle manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stallion on his heels. He'll look to pass Stallion's guard now, I'm sure. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Stallion is looking to stand up but Houle isn't so interested in that idea. Houle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Houle looking to pass the guard. Houle trying to control but Stallion is working from the bottom. Stallion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Houle won't allow Stallion to get back to his feet. Stallion really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Houle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Houle trying to control the position from guard on top but Stallion is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Devin Houle just wasn't active enough. Houle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stallion's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stallion keeping moving, preventing Houle from controlling successfully. Houle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Houle stops Stallion from standing up. Houle wants to control from the top but Stallion keeps moving. Stallion wants to stand up but Houle is controlling him. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stallion can do anything to dispel that myth. Houle drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Houle as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Stallion screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Houle! Nice submission victory there!
