Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buffalo Bill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Burley Haines! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bill is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Haines shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bill napping and manages to drive through into side control! Bill trying to remain calm as Haines controls from the top position. Haines tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Bill wants to get back to his feet but Haines drags him back down. Haines controlling the position from side mount. Let's hope that Haines has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Burley Haines wasn't active enough on the ground. Bill tries to clinch but fails miserably and Haines counters with a takedown into side control. Haines happy to just control the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haines tries to advance to mount but Bill denies him. Haines is staying tight to Bill's torso, preventing him from escaping. Bill is pushing Haines's head away, looking to escape. Haines manages to hold on to the position though.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Burley Haines hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bill tries to clinch but fails miserably so Haines counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Bill on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bill tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haines controls from within his opponent's guard. Bill can't keep his opponent in guard - Haines advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Haines controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bill is trying to maintain the position but Haines is very close to passing his half guard. Haines has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bill has given up his back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Haines is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Burley Haines dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bill wants to clinch up but Haines keeps it at a distance. Haines shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Haines shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bill napping and manages to drive through into side control! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Haines prevents Bill from escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bill is holding Haines down, trying to stall. Bill tries to bench press Haines off him but Haines keeps the position. Haines advances nicely into full mount. Haines sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bill has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Haines really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Bill. Well, with Haines on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Bill is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bill holding both Haines 's hands and preventing any damage. A bit of a pause in the action here. Haines controlling the positon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Burley Haines hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bill wants to clinch up but Haines keeps it at a distance. Burley Haines showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Bill uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Haines. The fight stays on the outside here - Bill looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Haines shoots in for a takedown but Bill shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Haines looks to throw the jab but Bill is out of range. Bill tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Haines paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bill wants to clinch and Haines counters with a nice double leg into guard. Haines controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Bill wants to sweep here but Haines controlling him for the moment. Burley Haines has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bill closes the distance but Haines moves to the side and Haines counters with a nice double leg into guard. Haines stays in close to Bill's body and controls the position. Burley Haines is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Haines circles away from the clinch attempt.

Buffalo Bill has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Haines has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bill holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Haines controls the position from side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haines postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Haines stays in close to Bill's body and controls the position. Haines passes Bill's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Burley Haines comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Haines winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
