The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown looks to land a left hand but Janus moved out of range nicely. Good leg kick by Janus there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hugh Janus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brown. Janus throws a nice inside leg kick. Brown misses with a takedown attempt and Janus counters by moving into the clinch. Janus lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Come on Janus - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Brown is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Janus to keep the fight standing. Hugh Janus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jarvis Brown. Janus scores with a knee to the head.

Brown is rocked! Janus has Brown pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Brown is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Janus - that's hurt Brown badly! Oh, another knee lands and Brown is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Brown doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Hugh Janus! Hugh Janus was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruttz fails with a takedown attempt. Bruttz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dich swivels and escapes. Bruttz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dich defends well and Bruttz ends up having to push Dich into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brotiz Bruttz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dich has had enough of the clinch but Bruttz keeps him there for the moment. Bruttz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Dich wants to stall.

Dich should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. A short right from Dich on the inside.

Dich working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Dich has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile. Dich gets underhooks to prevent Bruttz's takedown attempt.

Bruttz is trying to drag Dich to the mat but Dich just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dich lands a hook to the side of the head. Bruttz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dich keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bruttz shoots in for a takedown but Dich shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Dich lands with a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bruttz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bruttz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dich's waist but Dich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bruttz off to one side. Brotiz Bruttz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bruttz thows a leg kick but Dich checks it and Dich cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Dich lands the left hand. Dich slaps away a takedown attempt from Bruttz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bruttz misses with a takedown attempt - Dich sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. BOOM! Dich lands a beautiful left hook that drops Bruttz. Bruttz tries to recover but Dich is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Bruttz lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ohne Dich! During a confident post fight interview, Ohne Dich thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Artur Hawkwing was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sobrante misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hawkwing steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sobrante. Hawkwing looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sobrante is fending him off so far but Hawkwing persists. Nope, Sobrante circles away and we're back to standing. Sobrante swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hawkwing shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sobrante defends it nicely. Sobrante fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hawkwing has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Sobrante lands with a nice combination. Hawkwing backs away looking to recover. Hawkwing has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sobrante. Hawkwing goes for a double leg but Sobrante avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sobrante continues to drive forward. Les Sobrante has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artur Hawkwing. Sobrante breaks the clinch.
A jab from Sobrante misses. Sobrante darts in and out, connecting with a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sobrante sizes up Hawkwing with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Sobrante jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hawkwing shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sobrante as he avoids it easily. Hawkwing shoots for a takedown but Sobrante saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hawkwing actively working from the bottom here. Sobrante prevents Hawkwing from improving his position. Sobrante wants to work for an arm triangle but Hawkwing is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sobrante is looking for a kimura but Hawkwing is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sobrante to get the leverage. Hawkwing actively working from the bottom here. Hawkwing is in trouble now - Sobrante has advanced to mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hawkwing can't escape the position.

Sobrante tries to pass to full mount but Hawkwing defends it. Sobrante is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hawkwing sees it coming and defends easily. Sobrante is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hawkwing to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hawkwing shrugs it off. Hawkwing is working to get back to half guard.

Sobrante is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hawkwing is defending well though. Sobrante let's go of the attempt for now. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hawkwing is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Sobrante off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Sobrante is looking for the choke from the back position but Hawkwing is controlling his hands well. Hawkwing tries to break free.

Sobrante is pressing down on Hawkwing's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hawkwing is holding on for now. Hawkwing looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sobrante is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hawkwing is just riding it out for now. Sobrante eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harper lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. A big right from Wayne misses. Wayne throws a quick inside leg kick. Harper has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Sloppy strikes from Harper. Those never looked like landing. Wayne has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Wayne throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A punch combination from Harper misses. Harper uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wayne. Wayne misses with a looping right. Wayne lands with a right hand. Harper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Harper lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Harper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Macfannywinkle counters by clinching up. Macfannywinkle jumps guard but Hur stands there with Macfannywinkle around his waist. Macfannywinkle gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and West counters with a flying knee that drops Koroma! West wants to control from the top but Koroma keeps moving. West might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Koroma haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koroma is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Koroma is pressing down on West's thigh, looking to free his foot. West is holding on for now. Koroma is looking to take a break and control but West is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. West wants to get back to full guard. West looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Koroma perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Le Fleur tries to work over Harris's front leg with a kick but Harris checks it. We've been told by Harris's head coaches at Miletich Xtreme Fighting Systems that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Harris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Le Fleur tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Harris connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Le Fleur momentarily.
It looks like Eleuando Le Fleur has been cut. Le Fleur walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Harris checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Le Fleur tries a low kick but Harris avoids it. Le Fleur throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Le Fleur throws a nice inside leg kick. Le Fleur tried to score with a low kick but Harris checks it. Harris cracks Le Fleur with an open hand slap. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
