4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dane Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Pacific! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacific shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kane tries to strike from the bottom.
Pacific being controlled here momentarily. Kane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pacific on the ground. Pacific wants to control from the top but Kane keeps moving. Kane controlling the position. Kane looking for a sweep. Not yet Kane, not yet. Kane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kane is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Dane Kane has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Kane moves in looking to clinch but Pacific pushes him off. Pacific shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane wants to get back to his feet. Kane is trying is best to control the position here. Pacific not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pacific tries to pass to full mount but Kane defends it. Kane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kane tries to get out of the position. Kane is not content to let Pacific control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kane tries to kick Pacific off but Pacific keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kane is positioning himself well to prevent Pacific advancing to mount.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pacific drives through with a takedown into Kane's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Kane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Pacific trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kane definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Pacific stalling. Pacific is pressing down on Kane's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kane is holding on for now. Kane works his way to full guard. Good work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kane looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

A close round but Joey Pacific will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kane instigates a clinch. Pacific content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kane is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pacific to keep the fight standing. Kane tries to pull guard but Pacific forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Kane lands a takedown into guard.
Kane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kane postures up and lands a big shot to Pacific's brow. Kane controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Pacific looking for a guillotine here but Kane defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kane throws an elbow that misses. Pacific uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kane's guard. Nice move by Pacific! Kane is looking to sweep but instead, Pacific has passed into half guard.

Kane looking for submissions off his back. Pacific seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pacific throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kane is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pacific trying to control the pace. Kane is looking to control Pacific's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kane avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pacific manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kane looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Pacific is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kane's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kane's back! I really don't envy Kane right now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pacific somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Pacific trying to control momentarily.
Kane can't escape the position.
Kane manages to escape to his feet. Pacific throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kane was covering up waiting for the punch and Pacific finishes the takedown easily into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pacific postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pacific doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pacific manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kane connects with a nice short shot to Pacific's temple. Pacific is looking for a sweep. Kane is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kane controlling the action here. Kane tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pacific knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane wants to stand but Pacific has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Kane is just content to waste time from the top position. Pacific takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Dane Kane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Pacific is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We're going to have a standup here because Dane Kane wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Pacific leaves Kane with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kane shoots and misses and Pacific counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pacific scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Pacific looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Kane looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane keeping moving, preventing Pacific from controlling successfully. Kane trying to control the position here. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dane Kane. Kane closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pacific circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dane Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kane gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Pacific wants to get back to striking at distance but Kane won't allow it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws a hook to the side of Ivar's head but Ivar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ivar shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Silva misses with an uppercut. Silva looks for a takedown but Ivar sprawls well. Silva's corner calls for a 1-2. Silva obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Silva goes for a double leg but Ivar avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ivar continues to drive forward. Silva gets underhooks to prevent Ivar's takedown attempt.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ivar looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ivar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Ivar is looking to defend but Silva has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ivar! Silva pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ivar taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Joe Silva! In his post fight interview, Joe Silva started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jones has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Jones wants to break the clinch but can't.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macready has closed the distance and engaged Biggums in a clinch.
Biggums tries for a takedown. No joy.
I was talking to Biggums's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Macready manages to break the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Macready. Biggums does a little dance to reset his feet. Macready fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Biggums. Macready cracks Biggums with a good jab.
It looks like Tyrone Biggums has been cut. Macready tests Biggums's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Macready displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Biggums. Macready throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A left and a right from Macready both land. Nice combination. Biggums takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macready loads up on a big right hand but Biggums slips the punch. Macready swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Biggums blocks a low kick nicely. Macready lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Macready. Macready connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Tyrone Biggums's cut is getting worse. Biggums shoots for a takedown but Macready saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyrone Biggums. That's going to take a lot out of him. Macready fails in his attempt to clinch. Macready has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Biggums shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Biggums closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A left lands for Macready. Biggums takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Macready lands with a big right hook that stumbles Biggums - he's out on his feet here! Macready follows up with another monster hook that separates Biggums from consciousness! Biggums falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Macready stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Damon Macready! An out of breath Damon Macready thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Pena, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pena uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Palmer.
Palmer takes a swing at Pena's ribcage but misses. Pena connects with the punch. Pena throws a right and a left that Palmer avoids nicely. Jimmy Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A left lands for Palmer.
It looks like Puntti Pena has been cut. Nice shot by Pena. This has been an exciting period of action! Palmer slips under a jab from Pena. Pena rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Palmer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Palmer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pena looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Pena walks into a stiff left hand from Palmer. Some wild striking there from Pena.
Palmer bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Palmer lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pena down.

7 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Galdra Kiddi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dee Stirling! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiddi lands a head kick that stumbles Stirling and the fighters go to the mat.
It looks like Dee Stirling has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stirling looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kiddi is one step ahead there. Kiddi controlling from the top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kiddi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kiddi throwing strikes from guard but Stirling blocks nicely. Stirling working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kiddi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kiddi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kiddi passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kiddi misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stirling manages to get back to half guard. Kiddi is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kiddi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kiddi is thwarting Stirling's attempts to control the position. Kiddi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stirling's head. Kiddi seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kiddi is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Stirling! Kiddi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kiddi controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stirling tries to reverse the position but Kiddi maintains control. Kiddi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Stirling is on top in guard.

Stirling gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kiddi lands a jab to Stirling's midsection. Stirling is looking to clinch. Kiddi throws a low kick but Stirling avoids it. Stirling drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiddi ducks under a wild hook from Stirling. Kiddi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Stirling's sensitive parts. Kiddi fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Stirling is out of range. Kiddi throws a leg kick which misses Stirling's front leg but catches the back leg as Stirling tries to avoid it. Kiddi moves away from the strike by Stirling. Stirling lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stirling.

A cross from Kiddi lands. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kiddi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kiddi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stirling at a distance.
Kiddi feints and then cracks Stirling's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stirling down. Stirling fails in his attempt to clinch. Kiddi ducks under a wild hook from Stirling. Galdra Kiddi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kiddi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No joy there for Kiddi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kiddi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Galdra Kiddi dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Stirling defending well as Kiddi loads up on a big left hand. Stirling throws a right hand that Kiddi ducks under and follows up with a left that Kiddi also avoids with ease. Kiddi avoids the body shot from Stirling.
Kiddi throws a left that rocks Stirling and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kiddi dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Stirling regain composure!
Stirling is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kiddi in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Stirling looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Kiddi turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buchanan shoots in and bounces Riddle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Buchanan trying to control but Riddle is working from the bottom. Buchanan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Riddle looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Riddle looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Riddle! Buchanan is looking for a sweep. Riddle working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buchanan tries to improve position but can't. You can see the frustration on Buchanan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Buchanan is looking to regain half guard here but Riddle keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buchanan is still trying to improve position. Riddle just content to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buchanan is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Riddle tries to advance to mount but Buchanan denies him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buchanan is looking for a sweep. Buchanan has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Riddle controlling the position from side mount. Buchanan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Buchanan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Riddle's best efforts.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Justin Riddle. Riddle doesn't manage to clinch there - Buchanan circles away.
Riddle throws a nice outside leg kick. Riddle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A clash of legs there as Riddle blocks the low kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riddle bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. We've been told by Riddle's head coaches at Socrates' House of Questions that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Riddle stuffs the takedown. Buchanan throws a poor cross that misses
and Riddle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Riddle lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Buchanan at a distance.
Buchanan shoots in but no luck this time. Riddle scores with a jab to the jaw. Riddle misses with a wild body shot. Buchanan motions for Riddle to come forward. Buchanan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Buchanan keeps the fight on the outside. Riddle lands a nice looking kick to the body. Buchanan takes a step back to recover. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Buchanan jabs Riddle right on the nose. Riddle blinks but takes it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buchanan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Buchanan with a poor takedown and Riddle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Justin Riddle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Buchanan. Riddle is looking to clinch. Riddle connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Buchanan to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Riddle!
