The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evil keeps the fight on the outside.
Clay looks to land a combination. Evil sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Evil is trying to force a seperation but Clay has the dominant position.
Clay tries to work over Evil's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Evil tries for a takedown but Clay manages to get underhooks.

Clay lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Evil backwards.
Evil has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Clay is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Tyson Clay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dark Evil.

We've been told by Clay's head coaches at Dark Horse MMA Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Clay for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Evil is trying to push Clay away but Clay has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Evil tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Clay swivels and escapes.

Clay throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Evil on the side of the head.
Evil ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clay moves away.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Clay has a couple of punches blocked by Evil.
Evil drops down looking for an ankle pick but Clay pulls his leg out and moves away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Clay misses with a hook. Evil ducked under it nicely.
