That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sean Quinn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stumpp takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Stumpp slips a jab from Evansen.

Stumpp shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Stumpp was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Stumpp moves into full mount!

Stumpp goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Evansen is on top in guard.
Evansen forces his way into half guard.
Stumpp has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Evansen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Stumpp is looking to control Evansen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stumpp avoid being mounted?
Evansen is pressing down on Stumpp's thigh, looking to free his foot. Stumpp is holding on for now.

Stumpp is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Evansen pulls his head out easily.
Stumpp is looking to control Evansen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stumpp avoid being mounted?

Evansen is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Stumpp has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Evansen is working away from the top position though.
Stumpp is in trouble now - Evansen has advanced to mount!
Stumpp tries to hold on but Evansen postures up.

Evansen working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Stumpp turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Evansen off and cradles Stumpp's limp body as Evansen celebrates with his corner.

Christian Evansen is the new featherweight champion!
After winning the bout, Christian Evansen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
