The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellington tries to bum rush Ondahl with a series of wild strikes but Ondahl uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ellington lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ellington.
Ellington circles away from the clinch attempt.

Ondahl throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ellington was covering up waiting for the punch and Ondahl finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ellington utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ondahl pushes down on Ellington's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Ellington lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fighters circle, before Ellington throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Ondahl's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Ellington lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Beacon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rokka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Antero Rokka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rokka throws a leg kick which misses Rose's front leg but catches the back leg as Rose tries to avoid it.
Rose shoots in for a takedown but Rokka shows good takedown defense.
Rokka lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Rokka rushes Rose and presses him up against the cage.
Rokka misses with a hook from the clinch.
Rokka scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Rokka throws a head punch that misses.
Rose has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rokka after a bit of a struggle.

Rose has hold of one of Rokka's legs. Rokka is fighting the takedown attempt but Rose gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Rokka looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rose throws a strike but Rokka rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Rose lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rokka!

Rose connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Rose has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Nice takedown defense from Yackey. No joy for Bravo on that attempt.
Yackey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bravo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yackey avoids it really well and circles away.
Bravo misses with a takedown attempt - Yackey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Rodinerio Bravo . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yackey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Yackey throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Yackey scores with a jab to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Yackey tries to land a front kick but Bravo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Yackey will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Bravo moves into range and clinches up with Yackey.
Bravo wants a takedown but no success here.
Yackey told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Bravo tries to pull guard but Yackey holds him up against the cage and eventually Bravo drops back down to his feet.
Yackey lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Bravo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Yackey is trying to keep an underhook but Bravo manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yackey makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Yackey.
Yackey wants to get back to his feet but Bravo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Yackey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bravo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Yackey keeping moving, preventing Bravo from controlling successfully.
Bravo stops Yackey from standing up.

Yackey is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bravo is aware though and is defending well.
Bravo advances position into side control!
Yackey tries to improve position but can't.
Yackey prevents Bravo from improving position.
Yackey tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bravo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bravo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Yackey is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yackey can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bravo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bravo is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Yackey looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bravo gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Yackey is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bravo lets go of the hold and Yackey can pop his arm back in it's socket.
