The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flash tries to close the distance and clinch up but Valuev swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Valuev feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Valuev distracts Flash with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Flash looking to control.
Valuev not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Valuev slips nicely into half guard.
Valuev is nestled in close to Flash, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Valuev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Flash knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Valuev on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tanushev shoots and misses

and Da Gaucho counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Da Gaucho.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Da Gaucho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Da Gaucho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Da Gaucho throws an elbow that misses. Tanushev uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Da Gaucho's guard. Nice move by Tanushev!
Tanushev prevents Da Gaucho from getting back to his feet.
Da Gaucho throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Da Gaucho bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tanushev's guard.
Tanushev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Da Gaucho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Da Gaucho lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Da Gaucho might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tanushev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Da Gaucho has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Silvinho lands a big right hook! Ghost looks hurt but is still standing! Silvinho lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Ghost falls down and Silvinho dives in with a huge hammer fist! Ghost's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Silvinho runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
