Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Giorgio Zabat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dim Lovein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zabat comes into the arena with Smoke and Mirrors -RJD2 blaring out of the sound system. Lovein has chosen Ice Cube Check Yo Self as his entrance music. Dim Lovein will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Lovein as Zabat shoots in.
Zabat throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lovein's waist but Lovein gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zabat off to one side.

Lovein goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Lovein counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lovein.

Zabat jumps guard but Lovein turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Zabat is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lovein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lovein's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lovein is trying to stand back up.

Zabat is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Lovein has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Zabat has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Lovein taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Zabat doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Dim Lovein spoke after the fight, saying 'I went easy tonight, but tomorrow and another day, I'll go serious and kick ass, I just went easy tonight, I didn't want to hurt my opponents feelings.'.

I think Sackett might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to RATM: Know Your Enemy. Silva has chosen Stop (Blue Mix) - Ghost K as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
