Undercard bout

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Rando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Rando!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rando throws a hook to the side of Rogers's head but Rogers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Rando closes the distance and pushes Rogers back into the ropes.
Rando is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rogers is defending well for now.
Rando creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Rando wants the takedown. Rogers is fighting it off but Rando persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rogers's guard against the ropes.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rando prevents Rogers from getting back to his feet.
Rogers has control of Rando's left arm, preventing Rando from doing any damage.

A less than humble Sam Rogers misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
In defeat, Chris Rando stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thanks to the fans and my coaches for supporting me, I'm still young and I've got a lot to learn. I'm a quick learner!'.
