The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lundin fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Lundin throws a one two combo.
Yoshida buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Yoshida is looking to clinch. Yoshida has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Lundin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lundin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Yoshida tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lundin's elbow. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Yoshida creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Lundin covers up and Yoshida unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oppelaar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Betoni swivels and escapes. Oppelaar misses with a wild combination.
Oppelaar gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Dennis Oppelaar has been cut. Oppelaar tries for a takedown but Betoni sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Oppelaar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Oppelaar throwing strikes from guard but Betoni blocks nicely. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Betoni is on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Oppelaar being controlled here, momentarily. Betoni is pushing down on Oppelaar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Oppelaar is fighting to maintain full guard but Betoni has managed to sneak the leg through. Betoni is nestled in close to Oppelaar, controlling him well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The strikes coming from Betoni are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Betoni in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. You can see the frustration on Oppelaar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Betoni loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Oppelaar scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Betoni land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Betoni stands and salutes the crowd.

Love then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Edwards slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Love has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Edwards tries to score with a low kick but Love moves his leg out of the way. Love avoids a kick to the body.

Dama lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Cerdan misses with a hook. Dama ducked under it nicely. Dama does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Dama throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Cerdan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cerdan lands a nice looking body shot.
