 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Jesus misses with a few strikes there.
Chance tries to clinch but De Jesus is having none of it. De Jesus throws a jab but it's blocked by Chance. De Jesus scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Chance lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
De Jesus's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chance under the eye. Chance takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Chance tries to clinch up. Chance tries to clinch up but De Jesus circles away and keeps his distance. Chance is looking to clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Chance lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Chance creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends De Jesus's eyes rolling into the back of his head! De Jesus drops to his knees and Chance pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Sparrrrrow fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lamouna to the ground. Sparrrrrow is now in Lamouna's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Sparrrrrow controls from within his opponent's guard. Sparrrrrow wants to control from the top but Lamouna keeps moving. Sparrrrrow passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sparrrrrow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lamouna keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crusoe closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Crusoe lands in his opponent's guard. Miletic is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crusoe is controlling him. Miletic keeping moving, preventing Crusoe from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miletic can do anything to dispel that myth. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crusoe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Miletic is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Crusoe is aware though and is defending well. Crusoe is looking to work some ground and pound but Miletic has wrist control. Miletic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crusoe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Crusoe is pushing down on Miletic's leg trying to pass to half guard. Miletic is fighting to maintain full guard but Crusoe has managed to sneak the leg through. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Crusoe lands a nice short elbow. Miletic on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
