The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Naciamento manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! King is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Naciamento thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. King looking for a sweep. Not yet King, not yet. Naciamento advances position into side control! We've been hearing good reports from Naciamento's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. You can see the frustration on King's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King can do anything to dispel that myth. Naciamento has hold of King's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! King tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Naciamento cranks the arm and King screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from King, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clinton circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt and Clinton counters with a lovely straight right hand! Danga de danga de dang - Johnson scores with a four punch combination! Johnson tries to clinch up. Clinton has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Johnson, as that shot connected.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butterworth changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Torpedo tries to avoid it but Butterworth manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Torpedo to the ground. Torpedo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Torpedo throws a lazy right hand but Butterworth sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Torpedo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Torpedo thows a body shot but no joy. Torpedo loads up on a big right hand but Butterworth slips the punch. Butterworth slips under a jab. Butterworth tries to sprawl but Torpedo drives through with a takedown into half guard. Torpedo has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Rift Fighting Academy. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Butterworth tries to roll over but Torpedo keeps him under control. Torpedo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Torpedo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hampton fights it but they end up in guard. Hampton throws his legs up looking for a submission but Masters uses it to pass to side control.

Brockton working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Brockton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mistry is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Brockton tries to advance to mount but can't.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lodano dips down and scores with a jab to the body. De Touro stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lodano. Lodano works the jab nicely.
It looks like Aldebaran De Touro has been cut. We've been told by Lodano's head coaches at Evade MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. De Touro walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice uppercut lands for Lodano. That snapped De Touro's head back.
De Touro misses with a takedown attempt - Lodano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jab from Lodano. Lodano feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits De Touros jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Lodano closes the distance and clinches. Lodano lands a nice uppercut. Lodano working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Lodano unloads with a big right hand that wobbles De Touro! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Lodano is unloading with more strikes now! De Touro drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCaned does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. McCaned drives through and clinches with Anderson against the cage.
McCaned lands a nice knee to the body. McCaned pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stoney McCaned seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anderson walks into a left hand. An inside leg kick lands from McCaned. McCaned throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McCaned moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. McCaned looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Anderson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
McCaned connects with the punch. Ouch! a nice leg kick from McCaned, right into the meat.
That kick from McCaned tenderised Anderson's leg. Anderson is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch combination from McCaned misses. Stoney McCaned is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Anderson doesn't succeed with the takedown and McCaned counters with a lovely straight right hand! A slapping leg kick lands for McCaned.
McCaned throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McCaned getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Jab from McCaned. McCaned has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. McCaned swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Anderson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. McCaned pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCaned tests Anderson's chin there with a solid looking shot. McCaned lands a head shot. McCaned connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Anderson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. McCaned scores with a nice body kick.
McCaned lunges at Anderson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Anderson's hand. McCaned tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCaned scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Anderson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. McCaned throws a low kick but it's checked well by Anderson. Anderson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Anderson checks a low kick from McCaned. McCaned cracks the inside of Anderson's front leg. Anderson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jab by McCaned. Anderson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. McCaned throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. McCaned displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Anderson throws out the jab. McCaned connects with a nice looking jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McCaned with a nice cross. McCaned is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Anderson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. McCaned connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. McCaned throws a low kick but it's checked well by Anderson. McCaned swings for the body but Anderson moves out of range.
Anderson closes the distance and clinches up with McCaned, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes McCaned against the cage but McCaned circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. McCaned throws a shot to the body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McCaned thuds his right hand into Anderson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Anderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McCaned pinned against the cage. McCaned gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Anderson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. McCaned scores with a leg kick.

McCaned tried to score with a low kick but Anderson checks it. McCaned is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Anderson feints and as McCaned raises his hands in defense, Anderson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Anderson looking to pass the guard. Anderson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McCaned works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Anderson stops McCaned from standing up. Anderson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Anderson has gone for a leg lock! McCaned slips out almost immediately though and dives into Anderson's guard. McCaned engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Stoney McCaned has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. McCaned scores with a jab. Anderson acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A nice combination there by McCaned.
Anderson seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. McCaned shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Anderson is backing up but McCaned catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Anderson covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! McCaned Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
