The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rostowski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burza was well out of range. Poor timing from Rostowski.

Burza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Rostowski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burza has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rostowski has managed to get both his arms back between Burza's legs - danger averted.

Rostowski trying to control the position from guard on top but Burza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rostowski is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Burza has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rostowski is looking to defend but Burza has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rostowski! Burza pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rostowski taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nahtic shoots in for a double leg but Stagliano sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stagliano misses with an attempted mid kick.
Stagliano showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nahtic.
Stagliano lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Nahtic has been working on his boxing with his coaches at [CBK] Punch-kicker Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Stagliano stuffs the takedown.
Stagliano tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stagliano tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nahtic manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nahtic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nahtic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nahtic has closed the distance and engaged Stagliano in a clinch.
Stagliano on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Stagliano looking to slow down the pace here.
Nahtic is looking to control Stagliano's arms but Stagliano gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nahtic has his back to the cage.
Stagliano blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Stagliano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice uppercut there from Stagliano.
A punch lands to the side of Nahtic 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stagliano uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nahtic.

Stagliano moves in looking to clinch but Nahtic pushes him off.
Stagliano moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Stagliano.

Oh Nahtic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nahtic gets through Stagliano's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Stagliano drops Nahtic with a big left hand! Nahtic is injured, injured bad! Stagliano jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Joe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Venture on the side of the head.

Joe closes the distance and pushes Venture back into the cage.
Venture tries to work over Joe's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Venture lands a right hand that snaps the head of Joe backwards.
Venture is trying to break the clinch but Joe has him pressed against the cage.
Joe lands a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Joe pulls Venture into guard.
Joe has his hands on Venture's head, controlling the position.

Venture drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Venture jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Joe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Joe holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joe's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Kid Joe has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Joe throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Venture tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Joe is in Venture's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Venture's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Venture doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Joe chips away with some ground and pound.

Venture is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Joe defends well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Venture isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Joe stacks Venture on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Joe!
Joe is chipping away with strikes.
Joe looks up at the clock and then as Venture takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Joe smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Joe scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Venture to see if he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Venture throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Venture is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Check out the look on Joe's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Powerslave fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Penguin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Powerslave finds it's way round the side to connect with Penguin's head.

Penguin is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Penguin gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Powerslave gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
