The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A good leg kick by Fund. Kanapka has closed the distance and engaged Fund in a clinch.

Kanapka throws a punch but it's blocked by Fund. A shot in the inside from Kanapka. Fund looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Fund has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kanapka gets through Fund's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kanapka misses with a shot to the kidneys.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kanapka digs a right hand into Fund's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Fund's gas tank. Kanapka lands a body punch in the clinch. Fund blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kanapka takes a swing at Fund's ribcage but misses. Adam Kanapka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kanapka clinches up with Fund and pushes him back against the cage. Fund's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Kanapka throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Funds head. A head punch on the inside from Kanapka fails to land. Kanapka dips a shoulder and cracks Fund with a mighty uppercut! Fund falls back against the cage and Kanapka unloads with a barrage of strikes! Fund is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Kanapka screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Butler misses with a takedown and Buxton counters with a nice uppercut. Buxton on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Buxton lunges at Butler with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Butler's hand. We've been hearing reports that Butler has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Butler shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Butler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerry Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Butler dodges the punch combination from Buxton.

Buxton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Butler keeps working. Buxton is figuring out what he wants to do next. Buxton lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Buxton slips a nice elbow through Butler's hands, connecting with Butler's forehead. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Buxton takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buxton not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Buxton is nestled in close to Butler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Buxton lands a nice short elbow. Buxton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Buxton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Butler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Buxton working over Butler with some ground and pound. Butler looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Butler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Buxton on the ground. Butler is trying to stand up here but Buxton is controlling him well. Buxton trying to control from half guard but Butler is working away. Buxton scores with a couple of good hammerfists. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Buxton working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Buxton drops an elbow to the side of Butler's head. Ground and pound from Buxton. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Buxton connects with a nice short shot to Butler's temple. Buxton lands a big elbow - Butler is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Buxton!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Simmons as Linke shoots in. Some wild striking there from Simmons.

Simmons keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tom Linke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Simmons throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Simmons feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Linke's calf. Linke wants to clinch but Simmons slips to the side and Simmons counters with a nice uppercut. Some wild striking there from Simmons.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Simmons has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Simmons swats away the attempt to clinch by Linke. Linke doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Simmons lands with a nice body punch. Simmons throws a right and a left that both miss. Simmons's jab looks to have found its range, popping Linke under the eye. Linke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Simmons paws at him with a jab and circles away. Linke misses with a lunging right hand
and Simmons counters with a one-two to the body. Linke forces Simmons back against the cage and clinches. Simmons has Linke pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Linke manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Linke tries for a takedown but Simmons manages to get underhooks.

Simmons is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. This has been an exciting period of action! Simmons is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Linke has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Simmons is working away from the top position though. Simmons seems to be looking for submissions.

Linke misses with a left hand and Simmons counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Simmons moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Linke tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Simmons lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Linke goes down and covers up as Simmons starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Brooks walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Brooks needs to keep his hands up - Lee had a free shot at his head there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Brooks misses with an uppercut. Lee looks to throw the jab but Brooks is out of range. Brooks lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A decent looking cross lands there for Brooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jason Brooks will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Sun Whan Lee's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Cell trying to control the position from guard on top but Doby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cell's corner is telling him to maintain position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Doby escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cell trying to stand up but can't free himself from Doby's guard. Doby is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cell stands and throws Doby's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cell tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cell creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Cell lands a decent elbow from side control. Doby is trying to get back to half guard. Cell scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Doby to see if he's OK. Cell trying to control the position but Doby is working away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Doby is looking to reverse the position. Doby is not content to let Cell control the position. Cell taking a break here but Doby is having none of it and regains half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Doby can't keep his opponent in guard - Cell advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Cell performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Cell prevents Doby from improving his position. Cell is trying to control the action in half guard but Doby is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cell takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cell not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Stem Cell just wasn't active enough. Cell tries to clinch up but Doby circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doby misses with a takedown attempt - Cell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Doby looks to land a combination but Cell avoids it well.

Cell's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Cell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Doby is one step ahead there. Doby wants to control from the top but Cell keeps moving. Cell has his hands on Doby's head, controlling the position. Stem Cell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Stem Cell. Cell throws a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doby fails with the takedown letting Cell counter with a right hand. Stem Cell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Doby. Cell scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Doby shoots in but no luck this time. Cell scores with a body shot.
Doby takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cell looks to score with a jab to the body but Doby is just out of range. Doby takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Doby takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that's the end of the fight! Stem Cell showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
