0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Link Pettis! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pettis throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Pennington looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Pettis feints and as Pennington raises his hands in defense, Pettis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pettis trying to control but Pennington is working from the bottom. Pettis wants to stand but Pennington is controlling his posture from full guard.
 The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Link Pettis. Pennington steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Pettis. That one must have hurt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pettis tries to clinch up but Pennington circles away and keeps his distance.
Pettis lands a high kick to the side of Pennington's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Pettis dives into guard, looking to finish.
 Pennington is rocked!
 It looks like Tyler Pennington has been cut.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Pennington keeping moving, preventing Pettis from controlling successfully. Oh Pennington is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pennington has a closed guard, preventing Pettis from standing up. Pettis is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Pettis trying to control but Pennington is working from the bottom. Pennington seems to have got his legs back now. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Pennington has a closed guard, preventing Pettis from standing up.
 The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Link Pettis wasn't active enough on the ground. Pettis slips under a jab from Pennington.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fish throws a head kick but Hu moves out of range.

 It looks like Ricky Hu has been cut. Hu waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fish. Hu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Fish thuds a left hand into Hu's body. Hu has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 11th Planet Fitness ($100/wk) in the buildup to the fight. A decent looking body kick lands there for Fish. Fish misses with a few strikes there.
Hu throws a jab when Fish was well out of range. Hu throws a series of punches but Fish moves out of range. Fish fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hu manages to avoid it. Hu scores with a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hu misses with the combination.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Fish. Fish keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hu. Hu fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fish stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hu. Fish wants to slow Hu down by chopping away at his legs.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Fish throws a leg kick and Hu makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Fish throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Fish uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hu. Fish throws a predictable looking body shot
and Hu counters with a lovely straight right hand! Fish throws a body punch but Hu moves out of range. Hu looks to score with a jab to the body but Fish is just out of range. Fish looks to score with a jab to the body but Hu is just out of range. Hu lands a nice hook to Fish's body. Fish takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Fish misses with a kick to the body.
Fish is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hu rather than just go for the knockout. Fish is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hu. Fish looks up at the clock. Bad move! Hu lands a right hand from hell, dropping Fish. Hu pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddel throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson moves into the clinch. Johnson has Liddel pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Liddel manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Liddel gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Johnson.

Johnson swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Johnson. Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Liddel sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Johnson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Liddel is landing a low percentage of strikes.

That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fatts McGee! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and George Francis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. McGee lands a slapping body shot.
Winnfield uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McGee. McGee fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Winnfield. McGee has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A shot to the body from Winnfield misses and McGee counters with a slapping leg kick.
McGee moves into range and clinches up with Winnfield. Winnfield effectively controlling the action here. A body shot lands from McGee.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McGee keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Winnfield's efforts to push away. Winnfield wants to break the clinch but can't.
McGee tries to work over Winnfield's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Nice body punch from McGee - that landed with a thud.

Winnfield is breathing heavily. McGee is working Winnfield over against the cage. Winnfield prevents a body shot from McGee. McGee can't find room to land a body shot as Winnfield controls the action.
Winnfield's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Winnfield misses with a short punch on the inside. I was talking to Winnfield's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

McGee gets through Winnfield's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Nice body punch from McGee. Winnfield is trying to push McGee away but McGee has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A right handed body shot lands from McGee.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGee lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Winnfield or not. A shot in the inside from McGee. McGee gets through Winnfield's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. McGee lands with a short shot to the head. A short left from McGee. McGee tries to throw a body punch but Winnfield avoids it by throwing McGee back against the cage. McGee makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. McGee gets through Winnfield's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. McGee scores with a shoulder strike. McGee pushes Winnfield back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A short right from McGee. A quick uppercut on the inside from McGee. McGee digs a right hand into Winnfield's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Winnfield's gas tank. McGee dips a shoulder and cracks Winnfield with a mighty uppercut! Winnfield falls back against the cage and McGee unloads with a barrage of strikes! Winnfield is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - McGee screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Dubrov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Longshanks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dubrov lands a head kick!
 It looks like Claymore Longshanks has been cut. Longshanks throws a wild body kick that Dubrov sees coming a mile off. Dubrov steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Longshanks. That one must have hurt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fighters circle momentarily. Dubrov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Longshanks.
Dubrov looks to land a right hand but Longshanks moved out of range. Longshanks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Longshanks walks into a left hand. Dubrov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Longshanks looks to land a body kick but Dubrov moved away. Dubrov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Longshanks. Dubrov slips a jab and a cross from Longshanks.
A head kick by Dubrov misses and Longshanks counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dubrov's knee momentarily. Longshanks throws a front kick that sends Dubrov stumbling back into the cage. Dubrov is breathing heavily. Longshanks lands with a kick to the ribs.

Longshanks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. No joy there for Longshanks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Longshanks feints and then cracks Dubrov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dubrov down. Longshanks moves out of range as Dubrov strikes. Longshanks connects with a body shot. Longshanks lets loose with a powerful body kick. Dubrov will feel that in the morning. Longshanks lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Dubrov will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Longshanks lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Longshanks throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Longshanks lands with a short shot to the head. Longshanks tries to work over Dubrov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Longshanks misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Claymore Longshanks dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Longshanks connects with the punch. We've been told by Dubrov's head coaches at LOD: Gym of the Gods that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Dubrov doesn't manage to clinch there - Longshanks circles away.
Claymore Longshanks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Longshanks throws a nice outside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Longshanks scores with a nice head shot.
 Pavel Dubrov's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Longshanks connects with a leg kick. Dubrov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Longshanks throws a leg kick which misses Dubrov's front leg but catches the back leg as Dubrov tries to avoid it. Dubrov ducks right into an uppercut from Longshanks. A slapping leg kick lands for Longshanks.
Longshanks dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Longshanks scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dubrov doesn't seem bothered though. Dubrov takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Longshanks lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Dubrov sprawling to the canvas. Longshanks follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Dubrov hang on? Dubrov blocking the ground and pound attempt from Longshanks. Longshanks wants to pass to mount but Dubrov is defending the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Longshanks is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dubrov! Longshanks tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Longshanks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Longshanks wants to control but instead Dubrov manages to regain half guard. Longshanks is looking to advance position but Dubrov won't allow it. Longshanks is still trying to improve position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like Longshanks is going to stand back up.
Longshanks has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Dubrov defend it? Longshanks steps over the head and cranks it - Dubrov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Longshanks!
