I was talking to Hunter's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Goon is breathing heavily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cormeir has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cain Cormeir.

Michalek content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cormeir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Michalek sprawls well. Michalek wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cormeir gets slowly back to his feet.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Cormeir around the waist but Cormeir pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Cormeir is the winner by TKO! Cormeir jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
