12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daryl Palumbo! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sedfenor misses with a head kick.
Sedfenor fails with a takedown attempt. Sedfenor takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Palumbo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Palumbo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Palumbo tries to bum rush Sedfenor with a series of wild strikes but Sedfenor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Palumbo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sedfenor's hands. Daryl Palumbo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sedfenor shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Palumbo counters with a three punch combo that has Sedfenor backing up. Sedfenor nods at Palumbo to acknowledge the strikes. Palumbo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Palumbo throws a combination that misses and Sedfenor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sedfenor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Palumbo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sedfenor moves away. Sedfenor has his takedown stuffed and Palumbo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Sedfenor throws a poor cross that misses

Palumbo misses with a looping right. Sedfenor shoots in and drives through. Palumbo sprawls well. Sedfenor looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Palumbo misses with a two punch combination.
Sedfenor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Palumbo napping and manages to drive through into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sedfenor has hold of Palumbo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Palumbo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Sedfenor cranks the arm and Palumbo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Palumbo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Nunes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lennox, up you get! Nunes looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Nunes throws a quick inside leg kick. Nunes connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A nice leg kick lands there from Nunes.

Nunes stands up and we're back to a striking position. Nunes scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Nunes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lennox. That did some damage! Lennox's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A momentary lapse in concentration from Lennox enables Nunes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lennox manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Nunes stands up from Lennox's guard - Nunes perhaps looking for a knockout. Both fighters circling a little - Nunes finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Nunes scoring well with a low kick there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nunes cracks the inside of Lennox's front leg. Scotty Lennox is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A nice inside leg kick there by Nunes. That's going to slow Lennox down. We've been informed that Lennox has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Nunes thows a body kick. Lennox tries to catch it but that hurt him. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Nunes!

Nunes throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lennox. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A jab from Lennox does it's job there. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Nunes.
Nunes drives through with a takedown into Lennox's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Nunes engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lennox wants to get back to his feet but Nunes is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Nunes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Nunes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lennox, up you get! Nunes lands a head kick. Lennox smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Nunes dives in and scores a takedown into Lennox's guard. Lennox can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nunes controls the pace. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Lennox wants to stand but Nunes is controlling the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Diego Nunes wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Nunes turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Nunes jabs at Lennox's body. Nunes connects with a right hand. Lennox shakes it off. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lennox finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Nunes's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Lennox falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Nunes! After winning the bout, Diego Nunes thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
