Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh comes to the cage accompanied by Robyn - Indestructible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Reyes misses its intended target. Reyes throws a body kick that misses and Chamakh counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Chamakh throwing strikes but missing. Reyes keeping moving, preventing Chamakh from controlling successfully. Chamakh with a flurry of punches that miss. Reyes tries to land a sweep but no joy. Chamakh postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Reyes wants to stand up but Chamakh is controlling him. Chamakh working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Reyes is looking to stand up but Chamakh isn't so interested in that idea. Chamakh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've been hearing that Chamakh has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Reyes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chamakh! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reyes is stalling here but it's allowed Chamakh to get half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Paulo Reyes hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Reyes keeps Chamakh at a distance using the push kick. Chamakh tries to move into range but Reyes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Reyes misses the jab. A cross from Reyes lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Reyes lands a lovely overhand right. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reyes misses with a hook. Reyes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chamakh sees it coming and avoids it easily. Reyes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chamakh. Some wild striking there from Reyes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chamakh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reyes. Chamakh drops his hands momentarily and Reyes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Reyes scores with a one two! Chamakh had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reyes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chamakh tries to get to full guard but Reyes has control of the leg. Chamakh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reyes is working away from the top position though. Chamakh is controlling Reyes's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Chamakh trying to control the position but Reyes is working away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Reyes takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Chamakh is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reyes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Paulo Reyes is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Reyes explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Chavez tries a low kick but Cero avoids it. Chavez blocks a leg kick. Chavez tries a head kick but it misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Numero Cero will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. This has been an exciting period of action! Chavez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Chavez scores with a jab to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beck fails with the takedown. Beck moves away from the strike by Hickock. Beck uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hickock.
Beck on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Hickock jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A clash of legs there as Beck blocks the low kick. A solid body kick from Hickock. Beck lands with a nice body kick. Beck scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hickock scores with a jab to the body. Beck pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hickock looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Richard Hickock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hickock rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beck moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Beck throws a front kick aimed at Hickock's knee but Hickock avoids it well. Heisenberg connects with a body shot that sends Nazarethyan's belly button to the back. Nazarethyan slaps away a takedown attempt from Heisenberg, before circling back to the center of the mat. Heisenberg checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Heisenberg jabs Nazarethyan right on the nose. Nazarethyan blinks but takes it well. Nazarethyan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nazarethyan stopping the sweep attempt from Heisenberg. That's four minutes gone in the round. Nazarethyan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Heisenberg's head. Heisenberg had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nazarethyan defends it easily. Heisenberg looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nazarethyan lands a couple of digs. Heisenberg is looking for a triangle but Nazarethyan pushes his legs off easily.
Heisenberg has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nazarethyan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Heisenberg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Heisenberg manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nazarethyan wants to control but Heisenberg is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Mitch Heisenberg comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Heisenberg has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Contemprato bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gomi's guard. Contemprato tries to stand but Gomi is controlling from the bottom. Gomi trying to control the position.
Gomi has Contemprato pulled in close to control his posture. Gomi looking to control.
Gomi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kenny Gomi. Gomi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Contemprato is fending him off so far but Gomi persists. Nope, Contemprato circles away and we're back to standing. Gomi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Contemprato throws an ugly left hook that misses

Contemprato keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gomi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Contemprato's head. Gomi sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Contemprato defending well though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Noel Contemprato has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Gomi lands with an overhand left. Gomi shoots in for a double leg but Contemprato sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gomi avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kenny Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gomi moves away from the strike by Contemprato. Contemprato is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Gomi. Contemprato stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Contemprato wants it to stay on the feet. Gomi clinches with his opponent.

Contemprato engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Contemprato passes Gomi's left leg - he's now in half guard. Contemprato stands up from half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gomi throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Contemprato gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Contemprato looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gomi is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenny Gomi dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gomi has a takedown stuffed. Gomi fails with the takedown. A jab from Contemprato finds it's way through Gomi's defenses. Contemprato displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gomi. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Gomi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gomi lands with an overhand left. Gomi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gomi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Contemprato - the referee stops the clock and Gomi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Contemprato. Gomi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Gomi dives in for a single leg takedown but Contemprato sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Contemprato lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Gomi tries to score a body lock takedown but Contemprato shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Contemprato works on Gomi's body with a couple of short punches. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Contemprato throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gomis head. Gomi drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Contemprato breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gomi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gomi steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Contemprato. That one must have hurt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Contemprato lands a brutal head kick. Gomi looks out on his feet and Contemprato throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tolonen thuds his right hand into Bomb's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bomb is still on wobbly legs! Can Tolonen finish him? Tolonen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Vandalay looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ironz finish him?

Vandalay flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Ironz lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Vandalay will be OK.

Patton cracks Wise with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Wise tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Patton pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Wise is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
