The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baird shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Baird showed some decent athleticism there. Baird lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Nice strikes from Baird there. Wallace tries to get to full guard but Baird has control of the leg. Baird stalling. Wallace looks like he's trying to stand up.
Baird frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Baird lands with some strikes.

Baird's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Baird has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haimovich dodges the punch combination from Lesner.
Lesner looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Haimovich bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Haimovich landing strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lesner is pushing Haimovich's head away, looking to escape. Haimovich manages to hold on to the position though. Haimovich landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Lesner takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lesner is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Osty throws a combination that misses and Calloway counters with a series of strikes. Osty will be more careful next time no doubt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sloppy strikes from Calloway. Those never looked like landing. Osty throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Calloway counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Osty to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Calloway!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmer lands a nice shot that snaps Jones's head back.
It looks like Jon Jones has been cut. Palmer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones dives in and grabs Palmer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Palmer pushes down on Jones's head and hops out. Palmer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Palmer misses with the combination.

Palmer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Palmer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Palmer.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Palmer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it. Palmer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Palmer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Palmer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Palmer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Palmer defends it nicely. We've been told by Palmer's head coaches at BLACKSMITH GYM - THE 25 Coach Las Vegas Mega-Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Tyler Palmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones. Palmer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Palmer scores with a push kick. Jones misses with a body kick. Palmer swinging wildly here.
Palmer tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Palmer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jones back to the cage. Palmer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Palmer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Palmer sprawls well. Palmer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Palmer. Jones looks winded! This has been an exciting period of action! Jones has his takedown stuffed and Palmer counters with a left and a right that stings Jones. Palmer connects with a superb combination that knocks Jones out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Palmer before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Jones!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tyler Palmer! A pretty intense looking Tyler Palmer took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.

I was talking to Ghazzi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ghazzi tries to circle away but Zahard has him pinned against the cage. Zahard tries to pull guard but Ghazzi holds him up against the cage and eventually Zahard drops back down to his feet.
Zahard creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Ghazzi is struggling to control the position. Zahard lands a nice elbow. Ghazzi is pushing Zahard up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

It looks like Xyxer Zahard has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ghazzi cracks Zahard with a good jab. Ghazzi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Zahard wants to clinch. Zahard tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Ghazzi counter with a right hand. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ghazzi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ghazzi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zahard momentarily.

Zahard seems to have recovered his senses. Zahard shoots in but no luck this time. Ali Ghazzi is winning the standup battle so far. Zahard is looking to clinch. Ghazzi scores with a jab to the head.

Xyxer Zahard's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. This has been an exciting period of action! Zahard moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Zahard takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ghazzi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zahard can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Zahard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Zahard tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Ghazzi to counter with a crisp jab.

Narvaez ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Holliday tries to bum rush Narvaez with a series of wild strikes but Narvaez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Holliday scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Holliday throwing shots but Narvaez is blocking nicely. Holliday throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Narvaez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Holliday pulls his head out easily. Narvaez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Holliday is working away from the top position though. Holliday is nestled in close to Narvaez, controlling him well. He's out cold! Holliday gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
