The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuula misses with a few strikes there.
Kuula feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Wyatt looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wyatt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kuula can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kuula stays in close to Wyatt's body and controls the position. Wyatt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kuula trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wyatt's guard. Wyatt is looking for a triangle here but Kuula uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Kuula has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wyatt is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kuula yanks on the arm and Wyatt is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kuula.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punisher throws a right hand that Asztalos ducks under and follows up with a left that Asztalos also avoids with ease. Asztalos tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Punisher to counter with a crisp jab. Punisher darts in looking for a takedown but Asztalos gets double underhooks and turns Punisher into the cage. Asztalos lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Punisher backwards. Punisher wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Asztalos keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Punisher's efforts to push away. Asztalos misses with a short punch on the inside. Asztalos working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Punisher is trying to break the clinch but Asztalos has him pressed against the cage. Punisher blocks a body shot from Asztalos.
That's one minute gone in the round. Asztalos pushes Punisher back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Asztalos lands on the inside with an uppercut. Asztalos lands a shot to the body. Punisher looks winded! Asztalos leaning against his opponent.

Asztalos turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Asztalos manages to end up in side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Punisher is not content to let Asztalos control the position. Asztalos passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Punisher!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Asztalos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Givens. No joy for Big on that attempt. Big fails with the takedown. Big closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Givens takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Big creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Givens sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Big lands a decent elbow from side control. Pommi throws a chopping leg kick but Heineken manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A chopping leg kick lands by Pommi. That kick from Pommi tenderised Heineken's leg. Heineken is trying to keep his angry face on. Heineken chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pommi can pounce on him.
Alexander Heineken is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Heineken thows a body shot but no joy. Pommi swings away with a leg kick that misses. Heineken ducks under a wild hook from Pommi. Pommi throws a jab when Heineken was well out of range. Heineken keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Heineken uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pommi. Pommi fakes the leg kick and cracks Heineken in the body. Alexander Heineken has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pommi defending well as Heineken loads up on a big left hand.

Jackson fakes the leg kick and cracks Sir in the body. Jackson scores with a jab. Sir acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Sir fails with an attempt to clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sir takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jackson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sir looks winded! Sir tries to clinch but Jackson moves away and Jackson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jackson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A short body shot lands from Jackson as the two fighters clinch.

Sir loads up on a big right hand but Jackson slips the punch. Jackson throws a push kick but Sir slaps the foot to one side. Robin Sir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crunch! Jackson slams his shin into Sir's torso. Sir takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jackson tries to land a front kick but Sir steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Sir has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Sir takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Sir fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pookie Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robin Sir.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sir takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Jackson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jackson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sir looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Sir is breathing heavily. Jackson lands a nice shot to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamoth gets a clinch. Maximov lands with a right to the head. Yamoth is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Maximov to keep the fight standing. Maximov lands a right hand that snaps the head of Yamoth backwards. Maximov throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Yamoth blocks it with crossed arms. Maximov lands a nice uppercut. Yamoth jumps guard and drags Maximov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Yamoth is adopting a defensive guard. Maximov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Maximov wants to get up but he can't break Yamoth's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Yamoth looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Maximov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We're going to have a standup here because Drago Maximov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Maximov feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Yamoth's calf. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Yamoth postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maximov keeping moving, preventing Yamoth from controlling successfully. Maximov wants to stand and escape but Yamoth is having none of it. Maximov wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Yamoth is now in half guard. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oliver Latendresse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ned Gein! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Latendresse tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gein swivels and escapes. Latendresse changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gein tries to avoid it but Latendresse manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gein to the ground. Gein escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Latendresse tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gein sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Latendresse somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oliver Latendresse. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gein throws a leg kick but Latendresse sees it coming and moves out of range. Latendresse misses with a takedown and Gein counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gein. Latendresse has Gein pressed against the cage, preventing Gein from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Latendresse goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Gein tries to score a body lock takedown but Latendresse shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Gein tries to stall but Latendresse uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Gein swings wildly with an uppercut but Latendresse uses good head movement to avoid it. Latendresse blocks the elbow strike.
Gein is trying to push Latendresse away but Latendresse has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Gein pushes off an throws an elbow but Latendresse leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Gein throws an elbow but misses. Gein successfully pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Gein preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Latendresse trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Latendresse is looking to work some ground and pound but Gein has wrist control. Latendresse trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Latendresse postures up in Gein's guard and throws a big left but Gein blocks it. Latendresse postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Latendresse scoring with some ground and pound. Latendresse trying to control but Gein is working from the bottom. Latendresse is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gein is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gein has escaped and now he's on top! Gein wants to control from the top but Latendresse keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gein looking to pass the guard. Latendresse is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gein looking to pass the guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ned Gein wasn't active enough on the ground. Gein misses with a leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gein tries to sprawl but Latendresse drives through with a takedown into half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Latendresse not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Latendresse is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gein tries to get to full guard but Latendresse has control of the leg. Gein is trying to control but Latendresse passes into side control!
Latendresse in side control lands a decent elbow. Latendresse lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gein down.
Gein taking a bit of punishment here - Latendresse scoring with strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Latendresse is putting a hurting on Gein here, landing some big shots from side control. Latendresse scoring with punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Latendresse cracks Gein with an elbow. That is naaassty. Latendresse working away. Latendresse scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Gein is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Latendresse can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
