0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tony Garrison! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGavin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Garrison's guard. Garrison looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. McGavin works over Garrison with some ground and pound from guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells McGavin's corner. There ya go! There ya go! McGavin landing some decent shots from guard. McGavin landing some decent shots from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGavin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Garrison's head. McGavin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Garrison's head.
Garrison is rocked! McGavin postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Garrison covers up, he's hurt! McGavin keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from McGavin and the ref steps in to end the fight! McGavin can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson fails with the takedown and Utah counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Utah breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Utah. Anderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Utah sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anderson somewhat. Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Utah swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Anderson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Utah has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Utah tries to land a leg kick but Anderson saw it coming and moves away.
Utah checks a leg kick. Anderson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Utah sprawls well. Utah wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet. Johny Utah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Anderson. Horrible takedown by Utah or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson which made him look bad. Anderson misses with a few strikes there.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Utah but Utah pushes him off and we're back to square one. Anderson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Utah is fending him off so far but Anderson persists. Nope, Utah circles away and we're back to standing. Utah shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Anderson wants to get back to full guard. Utah is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Anderson! Utah fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Utah working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Anderson tries to reverse the position but Utah maintains control. Anderson tries to hold on but Utah postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Utah lands a heavy elbow. Anderson wants to control but Utah is having none of it. Anderson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Anderson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Utah is landing with some decent strikes but Anderson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Anderson is working to get back to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Utah landing strikes from the mount. Utah avoids the attempt from Anderson to control. Utah looking to secure an arm triangle but Anderson defends it well. Utah lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Anderson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Utah in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Utah shoots in and gets a takedown into Anderson's guard. Utah stands up and waves to Anderson to follow him. Anderson shoots for a takedown but Utah saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Johny Utah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anderson wants to clinch. Utah keeps the fight on the outside. Anderson throws a leg kick that misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Utah. Anderson does a little dance to reset his feet. Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Utah as he avoids it easily. Utah fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Utah stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Utah wants it to stay on the feet. Johny Utah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Anderson. Utah circles away from the clinch attempt and Utah counters with a three punch combo that has Anderson backing up. Anderson nods at Utah to acknowledge the strikes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Anderson tries to clinch but Utah moves out of range. Anderson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Utah defends it nicely. Utah throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Utah is in Anderson's guard. Utah is trying to control the position but Anderson postures up. Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Utah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Utah wants to sweep but no luck. Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Utah swivels though and keeps the full guard. Utah tries to land a sweep but no joy. Utah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Anderson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Utah manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Anderson manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Utah won't allow Anderson to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Utah distracts Anderson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Utah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Anderson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Utah defends well. Utah content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Utah will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Utah sitting in guard, not really doing much. Utah trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Utah controlling from the top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Utah accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Anderson being controlled here, momentarily. Utah preventing the sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Johny Utah just wasn't active enough. Anderson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Utah manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Utah is defended easily by Anderson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anderson gets tackled into the cage by Utah. Utah maintains the clinch. Utah drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Anderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Utah circles away quickly and effectively. Utah tries to close the distance and clinch but Anderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Anderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Utah pinned against the cage. Utah gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Utah moves out of range of the body kick. No joy there for Anderson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Anderson's coach down at Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Anderson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Utah tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Anderson defends well and Utah ends up having to push Anderson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Anderson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Anderson wants to stall.

And that's the end of the fight! Johny Utah showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Utah, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelly is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Aubin's half guard. Kelly throwing shots but Aubin is blocking nicely. Aubin regains full guard. Nicely done. Kelly throws a big right hand that misses. Kelly is fighting to break Aubin's control of his arms but Aubin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Kelly missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Aubin pulls Kelly in close to prevent any damage. Kelly working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Paskal Aubin. Kelly shoots for a takedown but Aubin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Aubin shoots in looking for a takedown but Kelly manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Aubin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Aubin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Aubin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kelly.

He's got his arms around Kelly's waist but Kelly gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aubin off to one side. Aubin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kelly eats them both and turns towards Aubin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Aubin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Aubin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kelly shoots in for a takedown but Aubin shows good takedown defense. Aubin darts in looking for a takedown but Kelly gets double underhooks and turns Aubin into the cage. Aubin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kelly dives in for a single leg takedown but Aubin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Aubin pulls guard successfully.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown by Kelly or perhaps it was just good defense by Aubin which made him look bad. Paskal Aubin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Aubin tries to clinch but Kelly moves out of range. Aubin shoots in but Kelly avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Aubin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kelly defends well and Aubin ends up having to push Kelly into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kelly is being controlled here. Aubin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kelly can do to turn this around? Aubin decides to stand back up. Let's see if Kelly can do anything to dispel that myth. Kelly wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The referee asks Aubin politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Aubin prefers to stall for the moment though. Anthony Kelly has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cold displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Cold looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cold closes the distance and lands a one-two. Gros shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cold counters with a one-two to the body. Gros looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cold is fending him off so far but Gros persists. Nope, Cold circles away and we're back to standing. A left lands for Cold. This has been an exciting period of action! Cold fails to land with a series of punches.
Cold throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gros looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oboev throws a nice looking combination but Ghost bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ghost looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ghost content to control rather than advance. Oboev tries to roll over but Ghost keeps him under control. Ghost is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Ghost looking to control but Oboev is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ghost throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Ghost sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! My spies in Sun Tzu's Art of War inform me that Ghost has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savalas throws a shot from downtown. Sanford moves away and avoids it. Savalas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sanford tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Savalas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sanford moves out of range as Savalas strikes. Savalas misses with a wild combination.
Sanford takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Fred Sanford has been cut. Sanford lunges at Savalas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Savalas's hand. Savalas misses the jab. Sanford throws a right and a left that both miss. Savalas misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Sanford counters by clinching up. Sanford tries to throw a body punch but Savalas avoids it by throwing Sanford back against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Savalas takes a shot to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanford tries a body shot but Savalas blocks it.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sanford takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Savalas is rocked! Savalas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sanford has him pressed against the cage. Oh Savalas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sanford gets through Savalas's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Sanford lands a shot to the body. A right handed body shot lands from Sanford.
Sanford pushes Savalas against the cage. Sanford is working some dirty boxing. Sanford pushes off with a quick right hook! Savalas goes down! Savalas tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Sanford moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
