The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mamed looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Wilson trying to control the position.
Mamed looking to pass the guard. Mamed seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Wilson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mamed passes into half guard.
Wilson is looking to control Mamed's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wilson avoid being mounted? Wilson really is a fat lump.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mamed wants to free his trapped foot but Wilson is holding on for dear life with his legs. Wilson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Let's hope that Mamed has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Mamed is pressing down on Wilson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wilson is holding on for now.

Wilson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mamed. Wilson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Mamed throws a right hand that Wilson ducks under and follows up with a left that Wilson also avoids with ease. Left hook, right uppercut from Wilson. Wilson scores with a jab to the head.

Mamed forces Wilson back against the cage and clinches. Wilson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Mamed is pushing Wilson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Mamed pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson wants the takedown. Mamed is fighting it off but Wilson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mamed's guard against the cage. Wilson with a flurry of punches that miss. Mamed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mamed preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Mamed has his hands on Wilson's head, controlling the position. Ahmed Babilon Mamed has got the better of the ground game so far. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mamed looks to land a left hand but Wilson moved out of range nicely. Ahmed Babilon Mamed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mamed darts in looking for a takedown but Wilson gets double underhooks and turns Mamed into the cage. Wilson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Mamed looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick misses from Mamed. Mamed goes for a double leg but Wilson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wilson continues to drive forward. Mamed drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wilson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Wilson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mamed uses from the top position. Mamed is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mamed advances position into side control!

Mamed is staying tight to Wilson's torso, preventing him from escaping. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mamed wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mamed controls the position. Mamed tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wilson's legs.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mamed shoots in for a takedown but Wilson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wilson doesn't manage to clinch there - Mamed circles away.
A swing and a miss from Wilson. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mamed with a poor takedown and Wilson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mamed is lucky that one didn't land flush. Wilson fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jerome Wilson. I think Wilson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Hendricks turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Lauzon off and cradles Hendricks's limp body as Lauzon celebrates with his corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Umpopo has Shafiq up against the cage in a clinch.
Shafiq tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Umpopo smiles and moves away.
Shafiq with a lazy takedown attempt and Umpopo counters with a nice double leg into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Shafiq preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Shafiq has his feet on Umpopo's thighs here. He's pushed Umpopo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Umpopo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kingman is defended easily by Tate. Kingman connects with a high kick. Tate scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kingman in his tracks. Horrible takedown by Kingman or perhaps it was just good defense by Tate which made him look bad. Tate fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kingman to the ground. Tate is now in Kingman's guard.
Kingman is rocked! Tate gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Tate moves into the clinch successfully.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tetsuya Tate hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Tate closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kingman circles away. Tate closes the distance and clinches. Tate is looking to break free of the clinch but Kingman has double underhooks. Tate stalling in the clinch but Kingman improves position. Kingman manages to break the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Tate as Kingman shoots in. Kingman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've been informed that Tate has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Kingman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tate gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kingman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tate wants to control from the top but Kingman keeps moving. Kingman working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Tate has passed into half guard!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tate wants to control but Kingman is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tetsuya Tate will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Kingman closes the distance and clinches. Kingman has Tate pressed against the cage, preventing Tate from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Kingman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kingman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tate defends well and Kingman ends up having to push Tate into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kingman is pushing Tate up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Tate misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Tate changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kingman fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kingman is trying to drag Tate to the mat but Tate just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Tate tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kingman smiles and moves away.

Tate shoots in for a double leg but Kingman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tate is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kingman's half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tate passes to full mount! Tate looking to control but Kingman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tetsuya Tate was stalling too much, according to the referee. Tate pushes Kingman up against the cage in a clinch. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clifton gets a clinch. Clifton lands a nice uppercut. Terry is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Clifton gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Terry wants a takedown.

Terry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Clifton avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Clifton. Clifton lands an elbow just above Terry 's eye.
It looks like Louis Terry has been cut. Terry has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Clifton is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Clifton is leaning against Terry and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. A left hand lands to the body for Clifton.

Nicely done. Clifton sneaks back into half guard. Terry is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Clifton gets full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clifton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Terry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Terry manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Terry drops back, looking for a kneebar! Clifton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Clifton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Clifton! Clifton wants to control but Terry is keeping him busy. Clifton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Terry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Clifton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Terry is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Terry is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Iron Fist Training, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Terry is looking for a sweep. Clifton is trying to get an arm triangle but Terry is defending well. Terry is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terry is not content to let Clifton control the position. Terry regains half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Terry has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Clifton. Oh but Terry has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Clifton goes limp - he's gone! Terry jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
