Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tong Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Griffin Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po tries a low kick but Parker avoids it.
Parker lands a nice hook to Po's body. Po takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Po needs to keep his hands up - Parker had a free shot at his head there.
Po looks to land a combination but Parker avoids it well.
Nice shot by Parker.
A punch combination from Po misses.
Po's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Parker connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Po scrambles back to his feet.
Parker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Parker lands a jab to the nose.
Po on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Po is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Po misses with an attempted mid kick.
Parker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Parker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Po looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Parker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Po.
Po goes for a double leg but Parker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Parker continues to drive forward.

Parker gets underhooks to prevent Po's takedown attempt.

Parker can't break the clinch.
Parker wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Po pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Po.
Po on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Griffin Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Parker tests Po's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Po takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Po jumps into guard, dragging Parker to the mat.
Parker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Parker wants to get up but he can't break Po's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Parker has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Po shoots for a takedown but Parker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Parker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Parker lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Parker connects with a nice looking jab.
Parker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Griffin Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Parker works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Parker is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Parker jabs at Po's body.
No luck for Po with that takedown attempt.
Parker lands with a straight right. Po didn't see that one coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker works Po's body with a nice hook.
Parker is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Po had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Parker fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Parker cracks a nice hook into Po's ribs.

Po throws a right and a left that Parker avoids nicely.
Po fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Parker lands with a hook. Po tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Parker bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Po on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Po throws a push kick but Parker slaps the foot to one side.
Po fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Parker avoids it really well and circles away.

Po takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Parker is trying to push Po away but Po has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Po's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Parker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Parker catches Po with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Parker connects with a body shot.
Parker swats away the attempt to clinch by Po.
Po shoots in for a takedown but Parker shows good takedown defense.

Po takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Po looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Po closes the distance and clinches up with Parker, looking for a takedown. Po pushes Parker against the cage but Parker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Parker wants to pass the guard but Po is keeping the position.

Parker works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Po preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Parker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Po keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Griffin Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Parker uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Po has time to react.

and Parker counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Po shoots in and drives through. Parker sprawls well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Parker wants to get back to striking at distance but Po won't allow it.
Po keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Parker's efforts to push away.
Po has Parker pressed against the cage, preventing Parker from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Parker tries to circle away but Po has him pinned against the cage.
Parker misses with a knee strike.
Po unloads a knee to the mid-section. Parker lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Po misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Parker lands a nice looking body shot.

Po takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Parker lands an overhand right.
Po shoots in looking for a takedown but Parker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Po's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Parker connects with a good right hand that stumbles Po. Po circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Parker lands with a nice body punch.
Po tries a head kick but it misses.
Po walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Po shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Po was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Parker tries to escape but Po is in control.

Po in the domination position with Parker hanging on.
Po gets to mount! Parker was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Po gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Parker lands with an uppercut that bounces Po off the cage and back into range.
Po shoots in but no luck this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parker thuds his right hand into Po's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The fighters circle momentarily. Parker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Tong Po has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Griffin Parker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
A big left from Po misses.

Griffin Parker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Parker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
