 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sakuraba pulls his head out easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Thomson moves out of range easily. Thomson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Silva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thomson throws out the jab. Thomson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Silva shoots in and drives through. Thomson sprawls well. Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Thomson. Thomson misses with the combination.
Thomson looks for the body kick but Silva saw that one coming. Silva throws a sloppy head kick
and Thomson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Thomson is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
 It looks like Bruce Davis has been cut. Davis looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Davis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A nice combination there by Overeem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Overeem scores with a jab to the body. The crowd cheers as Overeem lands an impressive looking overhand right. Davis doesn't seem phased though.
Overeem lands a big uppercut and Davis crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Davis looks OK. Overeem waves Davis back to his feet!
 Davis is rocked! Overeem lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fisher moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fisher closes the distance and clinches up with Carwin, looking for a takedown. Fisher pushes Carwin against the ropes but Carwin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Carwin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Fisher paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carwin misses with a series of wild punches.
Shane Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fisher slips a jab and a cross from Carwin.
Fisher instigates a clinch. Fisher tries to break the clinch but Carwin is controlling the position. Fisher tries to circle away but Carwin has him pinned against the ropes. Carwin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fisher pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Fisher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carwin won't be happy with that. Carwin is trying to improve his position. Fisher works to advance to full mount. Carwin defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fisher punching from mount but Carwin doing a good job of avoiding damage. Fisher looking to control but Carwin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Fisher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carwin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fisher lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Fisher throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Carwin because Fisher loaded up on that one. Fisher working away from the top, dropping strikes. Carwin wants to control but Fisher is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fisher sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Carwin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carwin wants it to stay on the feet. Fisher fails to land the takedown. Carwin is looking to clinch. Fisher shoots in but no luck this time. Shane Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spencer Fisher. Carwin slaps away a takedown attempt from Fisher, before circling back to the center of the mat. Carwin throws a combination that misses
and Fisher counters by clinching up. A head punch on the inside from Fisher fails to land. Fisher is trying to force a seperation but Carwin has the dominant position. Fisher is trying to break the clinch but Carwin is controlling him.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fisher shoots in for a double leg but Carwin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fisher lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Carwin backwards. Fisher lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Fisher gets through Carwin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A short right from Fisher on the inside. Fisher misses with a hook from the clinch. Fisher throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Carwins head. A shot in the inside from Fisher. Fisher pushes Carwin back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. Carwin blocking some punches.

Fisher lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Carwin backwards. Carwin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Fisher throws a head punch that misses. Fisher lands a right hand that snaps the head of Carwin backwards. Fisher lands a hook to the side of the head. Carwin fails to pull guard.
Carwin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fisher is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Carwin's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Carwin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fisher controls from within his opponent's guard. Carwin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Fisher wants to control but Carwin is keeping busy.
Fisher is not content to let Carwin control the position. Fisher holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Gomi is not content to let Emelianenko control the position. Gomi has hold of Emelianenko's hands but Emelianenko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Some wild striking there from Gomi.
