0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demian Santos! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos shoots in but Velasquez avoids the takedown attempt easily. Santos rushes Velasquez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Santos has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Velasquez goes for a takedown attempt but Santos pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Santos goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Santos lands a head kick!
Santos throws a series of punches but Velasquez moves out of range. Santos fails with a takedown attempt. Santos lands a high kick!
Velasquez looks for a takedown but Santos sprawls well. Santos changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Velasquez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Velasquez is trying to maintain the position but Santos is very close to passing his half guard. Velasquez is staying active underneath Santos, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Santos trying to pass the guard but Velasquez defending well. Santos prevents Velasquez from improving his position. Velasquez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Santos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Velasquez keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully. Santos advances position into side control! Velasquez is looking for a sweep. Santos decides to stand back up. Santos steps back and let's Velasquez get back to his feet. Santos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cain Velasquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demian Santos. That's three minutes gone in the round. Velasquez takes a kick to the side of the head. Santos takes the fight into the clinch. Santos is pressed up against the cage. Velasquez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Santos down to the mat. Santos avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Santos fakes the leg kick and cracks Velasquez in the body. Santos looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Demian Santos dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Santos shoots for a takedown but Velasquez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Velasquez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Santos doesn't succeed with the takedown and Velasquez counters with a takedown into side control. Velasquez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Santos down.
Velasquez misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Santos can't do much from the bottom here. Santos wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Velasquez lands some shots froms side control. Santos is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasquez cracks Santos with a big elbow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Santos is looking for a sweep.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A combination from Santos does no damage. Velasquez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Velasquez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Velasquez thows a huge punch but Santos dodges it nicely.

Velasquez sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Santos defending well though. Velasquez missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Velasquez looks to land a strike but Santos avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Santos preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Velasquez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Velasquez is defended easily by Santos. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cain Velasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos wants to clinch but Velasquez slips to the side and Velasquez counters with a takedown into side control. Velasquez looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Santos is avoiding damage well.
Velasquez in side control, throwing shots but Santos defends. Velasquez is working Santos over with some ground and pound from side control. Velasquez tries to score with some ground and pound. Santos controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Velasquez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Santos sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Velasquez postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Santos slaps away a takedown attempt from Velasquez, before circling back to the center of the mat. Santos throws a head kick that half lands.

Santos throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Velasquez's head. Velasquez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Santos sprawls well. Santos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Velasquez gets slowly back to his feet. Santos fails to land the takedown. Santos pushes Velasquez up against the cage in a clinch. Velasquez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Santos gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Santos is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Santos tries to land knees in the clinch but Velasquez avoids the damage to the body. Velasquez goes for a takedown in the clinch but Santos prevents it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Santos throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Velasquez. Velasquez takes a kick to the side of the head. Santos connects with a body shot. Horrible takedown by Velasquez or perhaps it was just good defense by Santos which made him look bad. Santos closes the distance and pushes Velasquez back into the cage. Velasquez keeps control of Santos as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Velasquez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Demian Santos seems to be getting the better of the standup. Velasquez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Santos plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Santos feints and as Velasquez raises his hands in defense, Santos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Velasquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Velasquez is on top in guard.
Santos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Velasquez is controlling him. Velasquez throws a strike but Santos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Santos wants to stand but Velasquez has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Velasquez looking for a sweep. Not yet Velasquez, not yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Demian Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Santos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Hardhand is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hardhand looks to land a combination but Antras avoids it well. An inside leg kick lands from Hardhand. Antras blocks a jab. Antras slips under a jab from Hardhand. Hardhand slips a straight right by Antras. The crowd cheers as Antras lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hardhand doesn't seem phased though. Antras swings for the body but Hardhand moves out of range.

Hardhand pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hardhand wants to slow Antras down by chopping away at his legs. Antras is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hardhand sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hardhand lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hardhand blocks a jab. Hardhand swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Antras throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hardhand lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Antras can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Hardhand and Antras drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Hardhand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kartel lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kaka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kaka gets a clinch. Kaka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kartel defending well as Kaka loads up on a big left hand. Kaka stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Vybz Kartel has been cut. Kaka throws a wild body kick that Kartel sees coming a mile off. Kartel lands a jab-cross combination. Kaka fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Kaka. No joy for Kartel on that attempt. Kartel throws a nice looking combination but Kaka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kaka fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kartel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kartel swings around for an armbar but Kaka sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kartel's guard. Kaka trying to control but Kartel is working from the bottom. Kartel looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kaka trying to control the position from guard on top but Kartel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kartel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kaka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ronaldo Kaka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kaka darts in and clinches Kartel up against the cage. Kaka pulls guard. Kaka looking for a guillotine here but Kartel defends easily.
Kartel is looking to advance position but Kaka has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Kaka controlling from mount. Kartel sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Kaka tries to close the distance and clinch but Kartel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kaka fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kartel gets a takedown into half guard. Kaka slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kartel wants to stand but Kaka has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaka uses the cage to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kaka, right into the meat.

Kartel throws a head kick that misses. Kartel throws a sloppy head kick and Kaka moves out of range easily. Kartel slips a jab from Kaka. Kaka gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kartel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kaka throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kartel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kaka is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kartel throws a head kick but Kaka moves out of range.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villareiz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shane. Shane takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Villareiz looks to land a body kick but Shane moved away. Shane dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Sheep Shane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Villareiz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shane. Shane slips under a jab from Villareiz. Good work by Shane as he checks the leg kick. Shane throws the left hand but Villareiz avoids the punch easily. Shane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Shane clobbers Villareiz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Villareiz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Villareiz with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shane to score with a decent uppercut. Shane on the wrong end of a nice jab. Shane lands a jab.
